[FIXED] "Free thought" social policy, Trading posts only provide 1 science

The "free thought" social policy under the rationalism branch is supposed to give +2 science from each trading post, but as far as I can tell it only gives +1 science in my game. Anybody else had the same problem?
 
I can confirm that my trading posts also only give +1 science under Free Thought.

I'd definitely suggest keeping it that way though lol

Not just the manual and the Civilopedia, but even the social policy screen.
Two possibilities here - they either punched the wrong number in the XML, or they nerfed it from an earlier build of the game, but forgot to change the in-game info about it.
 
Can confirm that you only get +1 science per trading post. Will provide a saved game in a few.
 
I have the same issue on my game (in fact I registered just to report the bug, but I saw someone had already mentioned it).

Anyways, it was just rather disappointed to save up all that culture to get ripped-off on a social policy.

Double checked that I was in both Secularism for +2:science: from Specialists and Free Thought for +2:science: from Trading Posts.

Science calculations from Washington.

3 from Palace
10 from 2 Acadamies
7 from 7 Trading posts (14 anticipated)
20 from 4 Scientists
12 from 6 Other Specialists
22 from 22 Population
11 from 1/2 of 22 Population from Library
Total = 85:science:

Any further information on whether the +1 is working as intended? I just played through the rationalism tree for the first time and was highly annoyed by the incorrect information.
 
I too was annoyed when I discovered this, as I may have planned differently had I known the effect would only be half what I was expecting.

I suspect the intention was to nerf it here - originally it was probably 2:science: and it was decided to be too strong. I mean, people already spam trading posts everywhere...:rolleyes:

this is a MP game on small/quick if that makes a difference
 
First time choosing Rationalism tree in Social Policies as I usually like to use Piety tree. Everything going great and after I chose Free Thought policy I checked some yeilds from tiles and noticed that there was not +2 science on Trading Post but only +1 science.
