[BUG] Ingame Chat Funktionality: Brackets in user name will let chat text vanish

Hi dudes,

I'm surprised that i dont find anything about my issue during Multiplayer-Games with Civ5.
My friends and me have all the same problem with the ingame chat:
If you send a message, you'll see the Nickname is Chatting, but not the Massage itself.
I "googled" over 4 hours and searched several Forums... am i too stupid to find a solution?

How can i solve my issue?

Press Shifr+Tab I think to go to the Steam overlay and chat if the message is through Steam.

Thats not very comfortable, especially if you have to talk to more than one person, additionally if the person is not in your list.
So is it a global bug, or are my friends and me the only ones have this problem?

Could you please provide a screenshot?
Savegame would be better, but i guess for a MP game this is not an option.

Ok i figured out what was the problem:
if you have Brackets like [] in your Nickname, the game "eats" everything after it, especially after the "["...

Thanks for the forensic work, i guess the devs should be able to fix this relativly easy.
Can anyone else confirm this?

My friends can copy this, they have all the same Clan-Tag as prefix, like
]FUSION[ name

so i guess the "[" leads some commands and is not escaped after sending the message or something like this.

Never mind, i am annoyed that i didnt hit on it much earlier as software-engineer.

Related bug: A save game with brackets in it vanishes after you save.

i.e. A save game with the name of [BUG] GDR Killed Catherine would appear just as GDR Killed Catherine.
