[FIXED] Crashing save: Moving helicopter on territory of friendly city state->crash

Try in the attached savegame to move the helicopter near Tarsus (in china at this map) into the territory of Kapstadt and the game will crash.

Can anyone else confirm this?

Confirmed, sort of.

Steps I took:
1) Loaded the save
2) Moved the gunship near Tarsus to the city of Munich
3) Civ V locks up and switching to Windows indicates the crash (also confirmed this using strategic view)

Rather than letting the game route me to Cape Town (Kapstadt) over 2 turns I decided to move it only to the extent of it's radius for the one turn, and that crashed it. So, the bug seem unrelated to Cape Town, and more related to that gunship's movement.
 
i had a good game that i'm unable to finish because of the CTD made by trying to move some helicopters.
someone can try moving up helicopters from Nagasaki, Nagoya and Yokohama cities. for me it always an CTD when doing that

Thanks for providing a save file. I loaded your file and moved all three helicopters around the map. The game didn't crash. Does your game always crash when you move any of the copters? Or is there some specific sequence of moves that causes the crash?
 
the game crashes when i try to move most of them sometimes CTD with the first one another time when moving all of them. i have played a little more with only moving one at a time, if i gave orders to move nearby it didn't crash, but when i'm trying to give a move order near german border it crashes. thanks for the time spent!
 
Thanks for the additional information. I can now reproduce the CTD with these steps:

1. Load the save file.
2. Select the copter in Nagasaki.
3. Recenter the map to somewhere off the coast of Breman.
4. Right-click on a nearby tile.

The game crashes.

This appears to be the same bug as one already identified, so I'll merge the threads.

Is Babylon one of the civilizations in your game?
Because I can't load your savegame.
 
I suspect that the second half of "Ghost Pirate Ship Terrorizes East Coast" is this same bug. That report mentions one or two other details that may explain the 'sometimes does, sometimes doesn't' nature of this report: It may happen only when moving helicopter gunships with the +1 movement promotion entirely along a railroad in one move. Smaller movements prevent the crash.

I have a savegame with just such a scenario posted in another thread:
Game always crashes on end of turn

I have one helicopter gunship, and it's currently set to automove at the end of the turn. Going to it and manually moving it far to the north of its continent (even not the entire move, one hex shy was enough to trigger it for me) will cause the game to crash.
