on the upside they seemed to have fixed many things with civ
1) much less cities to deal with
2) much less units to deal with
3) global happiness (no need to deal with each city)
and many others

i played for like 8 straight hours and didnt even notice

but on the downside
all i did most of trhe time was pressing the next turn button
AND
i did not have fun
like, at all

i feel like it was designed to keep up going
7 more turns for next policy change
a few more turns to wipe out the invadors
etc

in the last five years i have played so much civ.. combined it must anmount to few months of my life
so do you think i overdosed and now just tired of the game
or am i correct that the 5th game is just not very fun?

man, i hope kael will make a ffh3 for this one or zappara with his ROM afforess or some of the other modders these are the only prospects worth waiting for

Maybe you should try a real-time strategy game, if only to offset the "waiting game" feel of Civs.

Also if you burned 8 hours and didn't notice the time going by, and you weren't having fun.. why didn't you do something else? õ_ô
