Supposedly we are able to import Civ4 mods into Civ5, but how would go about doing this without having to rewrite everything? Just curious thats all...

If anything, they probably meant mods that are strictly XML/graphics with no custom XML tags. After all, they do use very similar XML tags.

You can convert a map/scenario. I did this. You simply import a Civ IV file/map instead of a Civ V map. However, the scenario/map transfer is not perfect... I think partially b/c of the squares vs hex issue... Also, the scenario may not work (I could not get mine to work). But, with the new map, you can rebuild your scenario.

As for the mod part... I don't think you can do that.

uh... the world builder does. When you are searching though, you need to search for Civ IV maps... not Civ V maps (which is the default). So, change that (extension).

needs to be a worldbuilder file.
Like the ones you could open in notepad.

Make sure you are in the right folder (this can be tricky since it is probably in "my games"...)
