Well, I don't know about that, but it does look more like a Samurai in full battle dress. The Civ3 Samurai looks more like the Samurai in his daily wear. The orginal Civ3 Samurai will be used as a Japanese Flavor unit, the Kensai, or "Sword Saint". I admit I used to play Oriental AD&D. :blush:

yes there is a kensai in PTW, it looks alot like that
 
That is just an animation I found on the net somewhere becuase I don't have the necessary tools to make a real preview. That is what the unit looks like, but it is zoomed in. Don't worry the actual unit is regular size, just like the other AoK units.
 
its not listed as kensai its its listed as minamoto samurai, its the same thing just differant name
 
yup, kensai and minamoto samurai graphics would be pretty similar, will probably be a UU for the Minamoto clan...
 
Yes, I agree with Zulu, the original Civ3 Samurai is more of a Kensai, whereas and the PtW Minamoto Samurai is should be used for the Japanese UU Samurai, and the AoK Samurai could be used for a No-Dachi Samurai.
 
maybe a kensai in casual dress but not in full battle uniform
