Looks nice:

2. Removal of several chinese forces in the improvised Great Wall in order to increase
difficulty in battling the Xiongu (Historically correct title?)

3. Adding the proper buildings to Roman Cities, removed walls in all but outermost cities.

4. Tried to reduce building maintenance by removing temples from Persian cities.
(I would suggest downloading the hack that removes maintenance.)

The Chinese refer to them as Xiongnu. And that´s not a hack, it´s a proper mod. ;)

Also, there might be room for a few civs more. What size is the map you used?

This is a nice effort. But why do people keep using the converted Rhye map? I've seen a few scenarios using this so far, and it's frankly a terrible map for Civ5. Resources work differently in Civ5, so things are out of balance all across the world for each civilization. Not only that, but the conversion messes up most of the rivers and mountain ranges, creating some very unusual, and messy combinations. It's too much asking to make a full world map from scratch, but it would at least be smart to wait until a nice one is made before pumping out real world scenarios.

( I shall add screenshots once I have released afew more versions.)

@JEELEN, where I come from we call them hacks, but no matter.
Though although there IS room, I would like to keep it simple so to make
it so that everyone can enjoy it.

@Theodorick
Umm, how many other people have made a scenario based off Rhye's
map? As far as I'm concerned this is one of the first scenarios for CivV
(Whether it is or not, it is certainly the first ancient era one.)
But being the perfectionist I am, I will be constantly editing this map
so to make it more geographically correct, so you have little to worry about
here.

ANYWAY, currently updating it to version 1.3, will add screenshots on version 1.5.

@Thor Macklin
There have been a few already, including another one on this forum. Most didn't edit ANYTHING, so entire parts of the world are completely cut off. At least you opened a route to Tibet.

Hm, well CFC doesn´t really like hacks (site got hacked one time). Anywho, I think the scenario has potential, but it´s a bit too simple right now. By 120 AD the Roman empire had already had several frustrating inroads with the German tribes, who seem to be missing. I notice you have the Arabs as Aksum, but there was a Nubian kingdom as well. (That´s just 2 examples; Asia seems even more empty.)

Can´t wait for those screenshots. ;)

Updated to version 1.4 I'm sure you'll all be very happy with the changes added
here. I have yet to add the germanic tribes as I am unsure what city state should
be used, as I am NOT going to be using germany to represent the germanic tribes.

I also added Almaty as the Sarmatians and Singapore as the Malays.
The Sarmatians are added at the size they are so to help fill
the world as much as reasonably possible.

SIDE NOTE: I will NOT be able to add screenshots for a short while
until I can figure out how to take pictures ingame.

For those of you who say I should use the printscreen, well I can't.

UPDATE:

I have now updated it to Version 5!

It is important to note that I moved CivV to my other computer.
Because of this I shall soon have screenshots ready. That is, once I learn how
to access screenshots.

@Theodorick
I'm flattered that you noticed that. Might I also point out that I have made several other areas accesible. (E.G Afghanistan is now
vaguely accesible from northern pakistan, the caucus is passable, reattached central america to south america, etc.)

9. Removed Barbarian Units from Nok because not once have they captured the
city as I had hoped they would.

I don´t think barbs are meant to take cities in CiV; I haven´t seen them take a single city, even if it was devoid of defenders.

17. Added Barbarian units in Germany, along with encampments. This is to represent
the constant threat the Germanic tribes posed. I will NOT add a city state for germany
as it would introduce an un-needed element of diplomacy in that area.

There was quite some diplomacy going on between Rome and Germanic peoples, as it become policy to rule and divide these tribes. Although probably wise from a short term point of view, in the long term these people gained sufficient knowledge from their contacts with Rome to make possible the Germanic invasions of the 4th century and the ultimate fall of the Western Roman empire. Having no Germany present basically means ignoring the constant thread these peoples posed to the Roman frontier. It was not for naught that the Limes was built and the Danube legions were an essentuial part of Roman defense.

Yes, but my point is no city state can represent the Germanic tribes; they´re simply to weak. There should be a German(ic) civ, since they actually stopped Roman expansion - in more or less the same manner as the Parthians in the east and the desert (peoples) in the south. The problem with any Roman empire scenario is not making the empire to strong to start with - which is a bit tricky... (I´m not even sure it can be done properly.)

Anywho, criticism apart, I´m very interested in this one. ;)

Ah, well I have fufilled your request and have added the Germanic tribes, I must
say it DOES make a diffference in maintaining the Roman Army.

I'd also like to note that:

1. I have decided to upload this to the database under scenarios.
(I consider this the first REAL CivV scenario. Being as most of the
mods are not technically 'scenarios'. And besides, I want to claim
the title. :p )

2. screenshots are a pain in the rear. They shall come, but only about
3 or so.

Concerning a Germanic civ vs a bunch of city states debate, is it possible for city-states for form clics? That is for a group of city-states to unite against a foe, but this group is not ALL of the reaming ones? Consider how the Celts united again Caesar, a local defensive pact.

Sounds like it wouldn't be much code to accomplish this. Would this be a better representation for the Germanics and Celts?

I don´t think so (even though it´d be more accurate). I have seen ALL of the remaining city states gang up on the dominating civ once though (obviously they didn´t accomplish much, but it was a nice touch), so it´s certainly possible; it just seems like a lot of work if you can just add a German(ic) civ instead. Celts might be perfect for a city state, I reckon, (seeing as they do occasionally attack a civ) since they never fully developed from a culture to a civilization; they gave the Greeks and Romans some trouble and even settled in Minor Asia, but that´s about it. Basically they got culturally assimilated and the Germans primarily assimilated until the point of becoming a lethal threat to Rome. (In a nutshell, I realize...)

Well I HAVE considered making this into a full-fledged Mod-Scenario.
Though I'd prefer to wait until I have finished working with the map itself.

Once I have done this you can all be assured I'll add the germanic tribes
and the celts as a city state.

(currently just goofing off with my scenario, but I have been making updates
and fixes to it that I'm sure you'll all enjoy!)

But thanks to everyone who has downloaded my scenario! So far it looks
like it is going to be one of the most downloaded scenarios for Civilization V!

UPDATE:

As some of you might have noted, I have been slow to update. Why is this?

1. I am waiting for Mongolia to come out so that I can add the Xiongu.

2. I am in the proccess of making a new scenario.

3. I still haven't taken any screenshots.
