Religion is a map based game were you no longer control an empire but a religion,You go through time trying to spread your religion to the old world. The game lasts from 200 AD to 1000 AD thats 80 turns. The game is a mixture of IOT, Dodge to roll and Some new stuff.

2. Stay on topic. Make sure all comments are relevant to the fictional world of the current gamr and have nothing to do with your personal beliefs.
3. Your posts should actually consist of something relevant to your nation and not just one-liner comments. Do not spam.

Spoiler :
Updates: Updates happen when all players post orders or every 2 days.

Map & Expansion: They style is a bit different then in IOT, you cannot just claim a province, you must send a missionary to the province and convert the population. You can send at max. Beginning claims 4, no missionaries needed .3 missionaries into one province, it increases your chance of success

Missionary: He will be represented by a symbol (religious symbol you give me) and he costs 2$ to make and 1$ to upkeep. When you get to a certain stage of enlightenment you will get better and newer missionaries. RNG will be used combined with the influence to see if your missionary was able to spread a religion to a province. 7 and above, successful spread of religion, 3-5 unsuccessful you can try again next turn with your missionary and 1-2 Disaster, your missionary is killed

Enlightenment: Similar to tech in IOT you invest money into it and you will get some bonuses

Monastery: Very similar to province strength , gives you money, you can invest in it - Formula 1 point of Strength = +1 Income Per Turn if you have a monastery 3 you must invest 4 for it to go up to lvl 4

Prophet: Name your prophet and you must give him 3 skills and 3 flaws (same numbered skills and flaws can not be picked)

Skills:

1. Magical Powers - gives 10% more influence against the NPC's and + 1 enlightenment
2. Immortal - gives 5% influence and +2 enlightenment every turn
3. Son of God - gives 20% more influence
4. Philosopher - +5 enlightenment
5. Materialist - +2 $ every turn

NPC's:
Those are Empires that rule certain regions, they will change during time and expand or destroy your goal is to convert them (were your religion starts the NPC becomes that religion). Influence is a major factor in converting them as well as converting single provinces. Each fully converted NPC gives you 1$

Income: Calculated by this formula
Leader Bonus: L
Enlightenment Bonus: E
Monastery Bonus: M
NPC Bonus: N
Religion type Bonus: R
Missionary Upkeep: U

X=L+(E/2)+M+N+R-U

Enlightenment:Will affect many sectors in the game, there is no tech tree its simply calculated by investing in it with this formula Tech investment>25 new tech lvl,
the next level is 50,the third is 100......I encourage you to make a story line when you advance a new enlightenment level.

Religion

Roman Catlickism

The religion is about three things...

The Virgin Mary (well really, cats lick her and she licks cats...)

That is actually quite offensive. I'm opposed to this being allowed.

Come on its not that offensive

What people find offensive differs from person to person but generally it is unwise to make a mockery of any real religion or important religious figure.

Well, I am protestant but I wasn't really offended by it. I'd probably be offended if someone made fun of Christ but I wouldn't really care if they made fun of my religion.

That's just personal though. But if Catholics are finding it offensive then maybe make him change it. Its Nedim's decision though, I don't care.

EDIT: Holy city, Jerusalem.

Starting claims, all 3 Israelite provinces and Syria. Color Brown.

@Nedim- Are you Muslim? Or is it just a matter of it being the Founder of Islam?

EDIT: Just a quick suggestion for Nedim- There should be a method to indirectly fight each other by calling areas your religion is at to take arms on behalf of your religion. Shouldn't necessarily always work, but there should be a way to use the Empires that follow our religion to proxy fight each other.

Marsism

Marsism is the belief that Mars, not Jupiter is the chief god, and that only through fighting and honor can everlasting peace to exist. Belivers cite Pax Romana as living proof that the philosophy works. In the religion itself, Mars became the sole god left due to magic faltering for whatever reason. A being from the heavens, taking advantage of the god's weaknesses, attacks them with the cosmos itself. With no way to resist but brute force, they all drop like Mayflies. However, Mars, used and specailizing in non-magical weapons, is able to fight back and kill the beings.

The Holy City is Sparta, Greece, Rome. This is due to the anology between Pax Romana, Mars, and the Spartans of old. Sparta is also the holy city of a sub-sect, called Aresism, which is Marsism changed to fit with the Greek pantheon. This version is worshiped mostly by Greek Nationalists only, and is extremely small.

Symbol: Legionary Helmet

Prophet Name: Mars

Prophet picks:
No Magic (Mars uses Weapons of Mortals, not Magic)
Immortal (He is a god)
Just a Man Warrior
Close-Minded (Lots of fighting means not alot of thinking)
Materialist (Weapons, Honor, and Peace)
Ceremonial (Fighting)

Religion Types:
Monotheistic

Claims is Greece and Byzantium. Color is Roman Red.
