Some Female Units

With this, I'm closing the gap of female units that was between my Native Amazon units and my Female Modern Soldiers units.

This time this is no real modcomp, just a collection of unit graphics. The units are made in the same way as the Female Modern Soldiers, which means that unit reskins for the original units should also work for the female versions. The only parts that will have to be modified separately are the parts where skin can be seen. The artwork for those parts can be found in the Female_Parts_64.dds files in the respective directories.

But I have to ask, how do I distinguish the male and female knights for examle? :)

Because they are seen from far away most of the time, the best way to distinguish them is by the sound they make when they fortify, attack or -ultimately- die. Of course the skirt some wear helps also. ;)

The knight model, however, is the exact same model as the male knight. Only the sound and the size are different.

They can get the Female Swordsman conversion instead.

Ah, yes, I wasn't sure if I should give them skirts or keep the trousers. I settled for the skirt because it helps to distinguish them for their male counterparts.
 
Where are the shirtless Female Gallic Warriors covered in blue paint?
I think Boudica would have had a few of those.

I think I know where you want to go with this ;), but none the less it's a good opportunity to announce that I'm not planing to make any femalized UU.

Also, the Gallic Warriors would better fit to my Native Amazon modcomp. :p

Question: Do you have any plans to make any of the unique units female? Or can that be done by mere mortals using the information in the first post? I'm a little confused. :crazyeye:

I've been adding the girls to the new release of BAT, and I noticed that there are very few uniques, so I thought I would ask. :)

Thanks, it makes me happy that you adding them to BAT now. :)

The units are using the original texture of the respective male unit (except for the head and the hands), so the dds file of any retextured male unit can also be used with the female ones. However, since the UU are no retextures, but different models, female UU can't be made this way. Some Blender work will have to be done for it I'm afraid.

Anyhow, I think I'm in the right mood for creating some female versions of the UU now, thus I'll see what I can do about this. Might take some time and I guess I'll have to improvise a bit for the units with bare chest, but I'll be one it. ;)

I shall patiently wait, then. Don't worry, no pressure from me. I have a whole bunch of things to do with the new BAT in the meantime. Take your time and make them pretty. ;)
