40 Civilizations: Ghandi the Reporter

Ok, so there arn't actually 40 civ's in this story but...I just feel like I have to use that name

This is more of an experiment, a retelling as you would call it, to see what would happen if we stuffed all the leaders in Civ V (Including Babylon, Spain, and Inca) on a Pangea with only Domination victory enabled. Well...everybody excluding Ghandi (me) who will try and find some far away island as soon as possible to settle one city. After that, all I have to do is watch the action, avoid bias's, and try not to die.

Here we have a fairly good start. Too bad I won't be settling here


We begin to explore in an attempt to find a nice island (I began in the Industrial Era)


Here's the victory screen, incase you would like to see it


Technology Advisor: Ghandi, my arm's are tired. Can we make a city already?
Ghandi: It's called a gym, my friend
Technology Advisor: Yes! And I have a nice gym in the city we should make!


Then, Ghandi goes around to greet people

Ghandi: Greetings! I am a reporter! My name is Ghandi!
Nebuchadnezzar II: Ah yes...it's you. I was just finishing talking about you behind your back
Ghandi: Only good thing's I assume?
Nebuchadnezzar II: Why of course!


Ghandi spots some fish. Could this be an island?


It is! Now all we have to do is defeat those Barbarians!


Meanwhile, Suleiman dislikes my reporting units


The island managed to fit two cities. It's time to begin exploring!

I tried to put a second Ghandi in, but it wouldn't let me. Seems the theres a limit of 22 civ's (including myself) for me.

Instead, you can watch me try and get Lizzy and Rammy to declare war on each other!

Ghandi: I have discovered the Great Barrier Reef!
Technology Advisor: Actually...I...umm...discovered it a while ago...
Ghandi: I DISCOVERED THE GREAT BARRIER REEF!

Meanwhile, my third settler is struggling to find a peaceful island


Usually, I don't make open borders with psycho's...but...I'm a reporter now


My exploring ship is done! Let's get reporting!


And, of course, I discover that the world is round


Look! Could that be the island of my dreams?


But...


The Ottoman's hate Germany! Ghandi goes in for the scoop!

Ghandi: So...mister...
Suleiman: Suleiman
Ghandi: Why do you hate Germany?
Suleiman: Why do YOU hate Germany?
Ghandi: I don't hate Germany
Suleiman: Are you a SPY?!?
Ghandi: No...I'm just a reporter
Suleiman: LIES! I WILL KILL YOU ALL!!!!!
Ghandi: I like your beard
Suleiman: Oh...umm...thanks


Japan want's to be my friend, but I'm not allowed bias's

Bismarck: Great! You will report on how well you destroy Suleiman!
Ghandi: I don't think that's how reporting works...
Bismarck: And then it will go on the morning news! Imagine seeing the head of Suleiman! Filmed by...
Ghandi: I'll...just go then


Alexander has declared war on Ghengis Khan! Don't worry! Ghandi will be sure to provide you with 24/7 coverage of the war!


However, getting a good seat to film the war will cost Ghandi


Exciting coverage! Who will win this war?


Unfortunatly, none of them will win this war


Luckely, we have Isabella vs. Wu Zetian! A breaking news story that we will be sure to cover next time! (Ghandi is busy spamming Camera Lancers)

Oh! And look! Earlier we encountered the shores of Siam (they are actually a bit close to England)

lurker's comment: The Rammynator would have been cooler, but that was almost as funny as the Lizzy one.

But Rammynator would be too strong to fit Mzrokks' Rammy (who collapses every time he sees a liz). So badass rammy works out fine.

It's a war zone now! This update begins with a war declaration. Ghandi is going to have a hard time keeping up with these new wars!


Ghandi manages to find the time to settle the WNN (World News Network). It's founded on a tiny island and will be the source of all broadcasting of Ghandi's Newsroom: Staring Ghandi. A printing press and a giant radio tower will soon be built.


Suleiman: Ghandi! The WNN is an outrage!
Ghandi: Why is that?
Suleiman: We don't want your TV show in my country!
Ghandi: It's a free country
Suleiman: My country is not a free country!
Ghandi: Well my country is free
Caesar: Can I close my eyes until this is over?
Suleiman:


While Suleiman and Caesar argue about the WNN, Ghandi set's up cameras around the China vs. Spain war. It looks like China may win this!


However, upon closer inspection...


So they become friends for no apparent reason


Then we have 3 declarations of war followed by a peace treaty. Ghandi is really falling behind in his filming


Ghandi is so far behind that he suddenly realizes that half his country is unable to read


Big news! The Inca has lost their capital! Ghandi predicts that Pachacuti will be eliminated soon as the first guy off the island. We would have an interview but Ghandi's filming crew is still stuck in Russia, trying to find a way past some mountains


Aaaaaaaaaaaand we have more war declarations!


Suleiman: And that is why the WNN does not belong there!
Ghandi: Umm...sir?
Suleiman: What?!
Ghandi: You lost a city while arguing with me
Suleiman: WTH?????
Ghandi: LOL
Caesar: Can I go home now?


This is what Ghandi has managed to discover. And now he's sharing it with all of you!

And now, everyone is going crazy and insane!!! Ghandi estimates that an average of 10 denounces happen each turn. The only thing is that psycho Lizzy has not denounced Rammy yet. BOOOOO!

LOL What a giant blob of mess. Makes you just want to push the nuke button and clean it all up, doesn't it? AIs are always so good at denouncing each other, and then inevitably go to war.

I wish they can patch it so when AIs know someone is too powerful they will work together to survive, but no, they just fight everybody.
