Hey! Long time stalker, short time poster here. After posting a little thread here, I realized that I really needed a revamp on my Civlization playing style. I've always played "No Barbs, Permanent Alliances, Goody Huts, Noble". Very safe. Well, I'm sick of playing with such pansy rules, but I need some edumacating. Soooo, I was thinking of starting a little thread up here that could be sort of like a school. Let me explain...
Every couple of weeks or so, I'll create and post a new gamelesson that covers a topic of game play. It could be, specialist economy, how to wage water-based map war, or just simpling learning how to play or how to play against certain leaders. For instance, this week we have...
1. Terrorism Play as Saladin and Arabia against the three American leaders. The lesson? Learn how to play against the Americans.
And coming next week (possibly)...
2. A Prophet Among Demons On this map, you play as the peacekeeper, Mahatma Gandhi, on a Fractal map against some of the most brutally hostile AIs on the game. The lesson? Learn how to deal with pissy neighbors.
A big goal of this is to no just learn how to wage war over and over again, but to learn how to PLAY against these AIs, meaning an analysis of behaviors, diplomatic strategies, and how they react with OTHER AI. Of course, while learning about the Leader you're using.
