Let's play Civilization V videos

Moderator Action: Attention: This thread is not being maintained at the moment and is therefore not a complete or current list of all the "Let's Plays" around. Please use the forum settings to set the view to threads with the "VidLP" prefix to see threads with "Let's Plays" in this forum.

Since videos didn't get a subforum yet, I thought it would be a good idea to make a post that lists all known Civ5 videos that can be found on YouTube. I'll sort videos by author and then by date.

NOTE: Feel free to add links that you know of (link to the first video in the series) that I might've missed.

thank you for the list!

I watched some Vids from MadJinn and you and really enjoyed it!

<cough> sticky </cough>

...

Was I doing 'Let's Play' ? Wasn't sure, since I saw others doing it under that name, so didn't want to use it if it was part of a group thing. But if it's just a generic thing, then I'll start using that instead :)

Maybe in the future I will follow this and start to record some videos. I dont know how long it takes but I think about doing this with "Nobles Club/Immortal Academy" games.

Nice post. Thanks for updating.

I saved to favorites, but I vote for sticky until the sub-forums.

If you post upload dates with the videos and patch dates at the top of the thread, we can see what patch was used with each video and you dont have to go back and edit every vidoe each time a new patch comes in.

Didn't cross my mind. You're right!

Thanks a lot for this post. I am still a bit new to civ5 and compared to many here pretty new at civ.
The videos have helped to gain a better understanding of the game for wich I am grateful.

Any thoughts on the next set of videos? Why not a DLC game using Polynesia?

Uh, I looked at the map, it's not my taste (1-2-3 tile islands dotting a HUGE map). The real polynesia i mean. I don't think I'll play the scenario, but a standard game (probably Terra :p) will def be on the menu.

The moai statues are a very nice and well though-out tile improvement. They make you weight your options and you have to build at least 2-3 to make them really worthwile. if placed well, they are almost as good as the landmarks.

Sounds good, I'd like to see how Polynesia plays out. The moai is really potentially a culture machine three would produce, like you said 2/3/2. With this new patch the culture strain must be enormous for large empires on bigger maps, where you have more room to expand. I am not sure what to think about it yet. However, I am certainly interested in learning strategies for trying to find that give and take (or balance)when it comes to the deciding the size of your empire, and how much culture you want to produce for social policies. I can't wait to see how you deal with the problem, will you stay with fewer cities, or expand at a point when you have the social policies that are the most important for your particular game's strategy? In any case a standard map, will be a good choice to test post patch culture penalties for having more cities.

I am going to watch the last part of your Pachacuti videos.
