The Sun rose on the year 3000BC. Hammurabi awoke and looked upon the Mesopotamian Landscape, and saw the two rivers, along with the Stone and Marble deposits. Perfect.
Hammurabi: We shall settle here. In time, this land will grow.
The city of Babilu, though currently a small riverside town, would become the center of the civilized world, through the arts, through diplomacy, through science, and through conquest. And Hammurabi looked upon it, and it was good.
Over the years, the citizens of Babilu began to construct pots made of baked clay and stone, and many saw this as a technological breakthrough that would revolutionize population growth. After gaining the knowledge to make pots, the Babylonians invented a form of writing, known as Cuneiform.
The People felt themselves as the greatest people of the world, rivaling none. They began to worship gods and goddesses, and felt that Hammurabi was the son of Marduk. The people sent workers out to the riversides to construct cottages and quarries.
On a fateful day, a messenger came bearing a message to Hammurabi.
