good bye

i dont know if anyone will care (and some people will proly be glad to be rid of my nagging ), but i wish to say good bye.
i never got into the story nes thing, i like the board game ones. and so far the only NES that got anywhere near and end (and dont tell me about it "never ending story", they are war games they should have a goal).

i've grown tired of starting games and then having them come crash down. after Uknes3 i've been waiting for another one like it to not have the problem that one had at the end so that it could get to somesort of point where atleast a victory is clear if not final.

with the Uknes8 and the Hnes3 and Znes crashing in quick succession i've realized that it will never get better here.

i've started playing interactive games as swirve.com and even though they are mapless they are a lot of fun and most importantly they are working games that actualy have a beggining and an end.

if any games start up here that are similar to the Uknesses that the players and mod actualy are determined to see through to some sort of end send me an email.

Roddy, I may revive UKNES8 soon, just I don't have time at the moment, and a number of players didn't send orders (anyone know where Troquelet has got to? He did this last time he disappeared - just went away from the NES forum and didn't come back for ages).

One thing I would need to sort out for UKNES8 is the mercenaries though, they're becoming a bit of a pain. I may try and relaunch the UKNES8 with streamlined rules in areas such as that, and perhaps scale back the combat (no more counter-attacks possibly, and stop the fact that you can take over an entire province once the garrison has collapsed, perhaps by introducing MILITIA! Actually, may try to think of a better solution than that lol).
