I have made some changes to India for the DoC mod. These were initially for my own benefit but I though I would post it for others if they want it.

Features:
Altered India. (Obviously)
Indus Valley Civilization represented by an Independence city.
Apposing Hindu nations in southern India
Mongolia represents the eastern part of the Empire ruled over directly by Genghis as well as the Yuan Dynasty. (This isn't a change, but their current apathy restated as a feature)
The Golden Horde and Ilkhanate are both represented by Barb Keshiks.
Timurids represented by a Native Army (Native so that they fight against the remaining Keshiks)

I would like to Respawn India in 1674 to represent the Maratha Empire but this is beyond my ability
Secondly, I originally had the added cities appear at different times like others do. However for some reason beyond my comprehension cities that all spawn before 600AD seemed to be responsible for the 600Ad scenario crashing to desktop, so until I can resolve this they are all their from the start. Have fun and try not to die. ;)

Here are the Files.
Here are files to uninstall it, for those to lazy to back up;)

Interesting, but how does your games play out after these modifications? Does Russia collapse often fx.?

Your new India terrain is intriguing. Just glancing at it, it appears much stronger than the original. How much stronger has this made India? I want to copy the terrain, but I fear it may make India OP.

@Cosmos1985 - I have played about a dozen test runs (not a huge number for generating statistics) but the russians usually do okay as they get engineering before the horde arrives most of the time. The only time they do really badly is if they are already losing a war against someone else (yes, I'm looking at you Germany!).

@Orka, I played a few test games of the 3000BC start as well. They not usually the most powerful and I have seen them do quite badly. What you have to remember is that they did need a boost as before they were very much weaker than they should have been IMHO.

Also, if people play it and the feedback that I get is that Russia keeps dying or India is too strong I can always release a Version2, where Russia starts with another settler and India gets more barbs in the early game, etc...

EDIT: Also I just loaded up a game as the Americans from 600AD and the Russians were #1 and the Arabs were #3 and the Turks had only 3 cities. So although the Turks often do better as their main nemesis (Arabia) has been hamstrung by Keshiks, this is definitely not always the case.

Do you know when they show up in Marathon? I've played a few Turkish 600 AD test runs, and in 1290 the Mongols haven't shown up.

Apparently they do show up (I played a mongolia game to make sure), but the Arabs must be way too strong for them or something.

I just discovered this modification and it looks very interesting. Improving India and creating a more realistic Mongol behaviour is among my current goals as well, so it would be great to have a closer look at it to see what you did. Unfortunately, the files seem to be down.

So if you're still active here, a reupload would be great.
