I like the Modern Age. I try to get like 200+ MI and 150+ MA, then I just build up ICBMs and dare the other civs to mess with me while I complete my spaceship. ;)

My favorite age is at the end of the middle ages and the beginning of the industrial age.

nay, I need those railroads, so that eliminates the first two ages. I also like to bomb the living out of people, making my chose the modern age (stealth).

Modern and Future.

It's hard work to build an empire in the first three ages. In the last two ages, it's freedom. I love it. That's the time where I can unwind and relax, and enjoy, have fun with the game. It doesn't matter whether I'm at chieftain or not, this is the good time. :)

Future. I like to fight with the AI on a semi equal footing. I've never worked higher then Cheiftan, but it's still a challange to fight a person at a time.

Industrial Age is the "Civ 3 Renaissance Age" for me, when factories, railroads, hopspitals and power plants will more than quadruple the capabilities of your empire. In addition, there are espionage, MPP, conscription, moblization, Battlefield Medicine, police station, Universal Sufferage and Communism, all available to make you a happy warmonger.

Industrial, because that's when I start attacking everyone. Sometimes I do that in medieval, but hardly ever in ancient.
The modern era just doesn't cut if for me.

So many wars and fast development in Industrial.
It's FUN FUN FUN!! :D

Industrial is a real transitional era. You can start a war with knights and pikemen and finish it with riflemen moving on railroads. I find it's often the make-it-or-break-it era for me and for a few of the AI civs who showed promise early, but fade when the smokestacks start to pop up. Also, I like the Industrial Era graphics.

Middle - It's got the most variety of units. The Age of Knights. :D Not to mention when you get cavalry.

The Middle Ages are my favorite I think. The Modern Age is pretty fun because of all the different units, but by then the game never seems to be terribly exciting. It always seems to be either won or lost by then.

I like the middle because I haven't got past those ages yet in any games I've played

Middle age.

It has some of my favorite wonders (Leonardo, Michelangelo, Bach) and knights usually mean large scale attack. I always hope for a middleage GA ...

Middle Ages as this is when I have built up my military to an acceptable extent to smack another civs arse!!

Ancient age is the best. If you can set a good tone early on then you can dominent whatever Civs are near you. None of the other Ages matter if you never get there.

middle ages or modern, depends on if i fight early or late.
BTW, there really is nothing in future ages. it is just a time after youve completed the modern era.

My favorite age is the Middle Ages.... lots of variety, which sets the tone for how the world is set up (creativity at it's best!). However, my strength of play lies in the Industrial Ages. Railroads are the BEST defense of an empire.... well.... until nukes, of course.... :D
