I'm playing Kal-El's 140x140 map. 31 civs, Warlord difficulty. Corruption is on. Domination (99 %) and Conquest victories. Preserve random seed. Accelerated Production. Normal aggression. I'm playing as the Vikings.

I get a start in the middle of Spain, next to wheat and wines, with game in sight.
Cha-ching! :goodjob:

That's the end of Chapter 1. In the next chapter the Viking-American war shall start.

I'd build a city northwest of RL Carthage; that way the Wheat on Sardinia can be tapped into. :)

Well, someone's getting crowded in then! So. Let's cut to the chase. Who will you decimate first?

The first war is always the hardest, but it's also what makes or breaks the game for the human.

It does look like they only have a two-city core to fight your five-city core... yes, they would be a great choice.

They originally had 5 cities. No Chicago. Atlanta was built on Ireland. I razed it. I took Philadelphia (Alps), Boston (France), and New York (North of Balkans. The thing about Washington is that it's almost completely surrounded by rivers.

Ch. 2: The Viking-American War

Thus ends the first Viking-American War.

I think it's safe to say you'll be able to take on Korea and Russia at your leisure, now that the Americans - who look to have been the most condensed rival in Europe - have been vanquished.

I'd suggest crushing Russia. Do they even have another city besides Moscow? More importantly: Do they even have a navy (despite building the Great Lighthouse)?

I've destroyed Russia, and am now taking out the Koreans with a cavalry army. But they aren't too far behind me, since they also have cavalry. I'm fresh into the Industrial Era.

The New World! I'm met by the Byzantines.
