The Year is 1520! The Age of Exploration has begun! Spanish Conquistadors are about to sweep through the empires of the New World, while in the Old World, the Europeans fight to protect their interests against the Ottoman Empire. In Asia, the smell of spices could mean big bucks for whoever controls them, so China is interested in trade with the West. India and Japan just sit around and do nothing.

You may play as:
Isabella of Spain
Willem Van Oranje of Holland
Suleiman of Ottoman Turkey
Francis I (Louis XIV) of France
Charles (Charlemagne) of Germany (Holy Rome)
Pope Paul III (Justinian) of Italy (Rome)
Henry VIII (Joao) of England
Manuel I (Cyrus) of Portugal
Vasili III (Peter) of Muscovy (Russia)
Sigismund I (Alexander) of Poland (Russia)
Christian II (Ragnar) of Scandinavia
Zhengde (Qin Shi Huang) of Ming China
James V (Brennus) of Scotland (Celtia)
Isamail Shah (Asoka) of India
Go-Kashiwabara (Tokugawa) of Japan
Montezuma II of Aztec-land
Atahualpa (Huyana Capac) of Inca-land
Hiawatha of the Native North American Tribes

the only problem is that Rome/Italy is the only civ with infrastructure i.e. buildings
and maybe that the natives have no chance vrs spain, absoloutly no chance
otherwise its great:smug:

I have addressed this (among other things) in patch 1.1 which I will upload momentarily.

As for the Aztecs and Incans, they're only there for historical accuracy purposes and for Spain to roll over with Conquistadors. You probably can't win with Hiawatha either, but at least you won't get pummeled by Spain right off the bat.

perfect:smug:
i give 5 stars

Still needs some work, as lots of cities are missing buildings (german/viking), cities are revolting a few turns into the game (lisboa, vienna)

Hello, I need some help. I downloaded it. It´s in the same folder where all my other mods are. When I load it it seems to load properly. But where do I find it to play ? I do not see it among the scenarios.

needs alot more balance , some civs have 0 buildings , others are full .

also , maybe change something in Europe , add some more wheat and fish , delete extra cities and civs that dont make sense ( dutch , austrien )
asian civs need alot of work , more population , more army .

and lastly , the turks have like 20 wonders , and tend to take over the world too easy ,
they need nerfing . maybe boost china and india to the same level .

civs that dont make sense ( dutch , austrien )

The Dutch were among the most powerful colonial nations in the world for a long time. They're in.

But Austria should be replaced by the Hapsburg empire, which should maybe include spain (Carlos V was Holy Roman Emperor). Or give spain a huge diplomatic boost and a defensive pact with them at the beginning of the game.

Set , in this scenario , the dutch have 1 city and no colonies , and as such they get swamped by the french and the pope , being reduced to size 1 and no area around .same for germany .

also india has 3 small cities and china 4 small ones ?they should have many rice and pig resources to boost population into billions by year 2000.also large armies and many temples and courthouses.

now , the way i see it , small land civs if they exist should be given very rich lands and some wonders , also some GPs , maybe artists and merchants to be able to maintain big armies and hold they own with culture.for example the dutch should have 10 merchants and 10 prophets to reflect its merchant and industry power .

the pope should have the nativity wonder in Rome , and 10 merchants in venice.

and big area civs should have poor lands and only the capital city strong.

instead in barbarians there should be the Mongols around Samarkand , and north of China ,
and in Africa there could be Mali and Zulu to keep the Ottomans from spreading .

so , to reflect the balance of powers in 1520 , more works needs be done , specially in way of army numbers , GPs in small civs

in americas , the natives should have walls and castles to force the europeans to use gunpowder and cannon to conquer.

also , can give Taoism holy city and wonder to Russians to reflect the orthodox church in the east , which wasnt involved in crusades and apostolic elections.
