In the most recent patch .275, there is a change like this.

"In UI for national wonders that have a prereq building, don't list each individual city that needs the building if the prereq doesn't have to be in EVERY city in the empire. Instead just continue to show the count."

"If the prereq doesn't have to be in EVERY city...? "

Well, as far as I know, prereq is needed in EVERY city except puppet city.
Through some tests, I found that puppet cities are excluded when prereq is counted.
If I annex all puppet cities, then UI reveals the list of cities which needs prereq.
Well... I cannot understand why I should not see the list when I have puppet cities which are already excluded from count.
Why did they make this change? :confused:Does anybody know the background?

I'm not sure why this change was made. Before it was helpful to see which city still needed a market or some such. Now it just says the number of cities you control, which can make hunting for the city more cumbersome. Perhaps it was an optimization so the game would run smoother on larger maps.

Seems to me this change would apply only to modded national wonders that require a certain number of the building to be built. Let's say you added a building that needs 5 barracks to be built, then this change would apply to that. But it doesn't seem to have any effect for the vanilla national wonders, since they require every city to have it.

Interesting.

Some national wonders show "needed in ## more cities"
... and some show "needed in ???,???,???(list of cities)"

This could be a change in preparation for patchB.

i noticed this in my most recent game too. as soon as i went to war and ended up with puppet cities it stopped showing me which cities still needed the prerequisites, which for a moment had me panicking that all my puppets would require them too. but they don't--puppets don't seem to change anything but the cost of national wonders--and so i don't understand why it wouldn't be good to know which cities still require which buildings.

i also noticed when i acquired puppets that my advisors collapsed. the two lower advisors no longer tell me anything at all, and my military advisor gives me no advice about other civs--only about which cities have barracks.

Yes. This is exactly what I found. :)
We can see the "list" only when we have no puppet city...
Perhaps the programers considered some exceptional case of MOD.
But, in normal game, the "list" is still needed. I want it. :(
