On mars already, waiting!
Its been awhile since I made any new units, I had to reinstall the computer so I lost nearly everything; most of my models and all my textures, so this was mainly an attempt to see how difficult it would be to get everything sorted again.

Its a me1101; A plane that was never built, but who's design inspired a whole generation of jet aircraft during the korean war.
For more "in development german planes visit the Luft '46 website (if you can find it).

This is the first of a number of units I plan to make for a scenario I began planning months ago.

When I read the thread title I thought of an error - I thought this is about a new Me 110. My bad :crazyeye: ;)

The unit looks very nice :goodjob:

Good to see that you´re back in business :)

Oh if any one wants to make a civlopedia icon; Use the image below.

This was mainly just a practice unit, but it could also be used as a generic sub sonic jet fighter; As I said in the sabre thread most of the designs looked similar and I've made the colour scheme as neutral as possible (though its still quite german).

Ho-IX is nice, especially if you create a Ho-XVIII bomber for it to escort:) The flying wing also, but MUCH bigger:)

Rather than open a new thread Ive decided to place the HO-IX unit in this thread (as with any further Luft '46 projects, I'm thinking of the Amerika Bomber in particular).

The Horten flying wing was another of the wonder weapons under production at the end of the war; In fact some actualy reached fully operational status. In a WWII scenario that extends beyond the normal time span of 1939 - 1947 you could use either the Horten flying wing or the Me1101 as an advanced jet fighter.

Heres a preview;

I'm particulary happy with the death animation on this one; Its always my favourite animation on machines, seeing all the guts and bones of the vehicle makes it look more "alive".

I quit the crack last week after my last forums fiasco. ;) I have nothing to blame this mix up on other than a sheer lack of sleep.

I am glad to hear you are still planning that scenario. I would love to do some concept artwork for you when the time comes. If you need any help, that is.

yeah!!! Smoking mirror rocks!!! German WW2 prototyps, that's what I was waiting for. Nice units, you are doing really good work. Let me know if there will be more of these:D :D :D
