I have an article about musicians in Gainesville which mentions the Heartbreakers a bit. But there was this odd line in it:
[another band] was eventually called RGF (Real Good Friends, although the third letter often stood for something else).

What does this mean?

The "f" stood for a different word than "friends." This other word started with the letter F.

This belongs in a thread for questions not worth their own threads, btw.

But then I would get an infarction.

No, because you could ask this question without mentioning Tom Petty, since it concerns another band entirely.

Also, you can find the answer by googling "rtf band", and looking at the very first link that comes up. The answer is, as one might have predicted, not one that can be posted on CFC.

RGF you mean. But I'm afraid of getting infraction because one of the 'Breakers actually was in the band!

Yes, uncharacteristic typo on my part. On the potential infraction question, I wouldn't have counted that as discussion of Tom Petty as long as you didn't mention it in your post. The question is not about Tom Petty.

Another one might consider it considering some of the stuff Ive got infracted for.
