If God put you in charge of creating all the afterlives and determining who goes into what afterlife, how would you do it?

Edit: No appeals to what God already is doing, God takes all his cues from you!
 
The same way He did it previously, since as the maximally perfect being, He created it the best way possible. ;)
 
Oh this thread is gonna get closed quickly...

In my afterlife, everyone is sentenced to enternal punsihment by papercuts. I'm god, deal with it.
 
All people passing into the afterlife would become God Jrs. They'd have their own God-universe to do God-stuff in and create the kind of afterlife they wanted, but they couldn't override anything that I do.

So, Perf, if you wanted a world where SimCity 2000 has a larger map size and more buildings, that's the kind of world you could have.

Except people that have done bad stuff to me. I guess they get to go to boring cloud and harp heaven.

Sex lovers go to Heaven, and get to do whatever they please.

Sex-haters and other prudes go to Hell, where you are forced into slavery to do hard manual labor for all eternity.

Freedom in Heaven, no freedom in Hell.

Neutrals get to be re-incarnated until they make a decision on whether to hate sex or love it.
 
I'd do it the way God has been doing it.

I can't answer that until I know how the God you describe created us (i.e. how involved was God in our own choices - did he give us free-will, and even if we did have free will, did this God preordain us with specific traits, or did he leave it up to chance)?

Although, in every description of God that I've seen, I would say that all should go to Heaven (or a glorious, happy after-life...). Or if not Heaven, all people should share the same afterlife, regardless.
 
I'd have all soul, spirits, whatever, dissipate into mist at the moment of death and so there would be no afterlife of any sort.
 
Reincarnation depending on how well you lived your life. Of course, this wouldn't apply to just humans, that would be unfair, unless I ditched the soul thing entirely.

Heaven and hell are entirely unnecessary if you do things properly and don't screw up in the first place. Plus I could fix anything particularly screwed up or twisted anyway so there would be no need of hell to punish pedophiles or masturbaters.

So people could make a universe where they torture other people for all eternity?

You could, you could also have it all be in their "mind". Or you could 'fix' people so that they don't want to torture others in the first place anyway.
 
I would command the people to believe in a story that sounds silly and mythological, and send the ones who do to heaven, and the ones who don't to hell.

So what of a person would get transferred in reincarnation?

Depends if they have "souls" or not, no souls no reincarnation. It would also depend on if they are always going to be a bad person or not. Plus I could make them all have happy lives if I wanted to, otherwise I'm making their lives hellish doing it because I'm bored and a dick.
