SCREW THE STORIES I WAS WORKING ON BEFORE.
There I said it. No. I'm not continuing with KoJ, it quite honestly bored me, and writing for it was becoming a chore. Plus I want to actually win a UHV. So yes, I'm like LeBron James, I'm going to leave me original work in a favor of a new one. (Hopefully I'll get the UHV where LeBron failed at getting a Championship.)

And so. I present this to you.
Deutschland Uber Alles

Prologue: A Harsh Awakening

Civ4ScreenShot0000.jpg

"Sir..."
"Sir..."
"SIR!" The hoarse yelling of the advisor shook the sleeping German chieftain from slumber, albeit angrily. He grunted, mumbling unintelligibly under his breath, before looking up to the young face of his second in command. Regaining his composure and straightening his beard, the wizened German commander gave a sigh and addressed the excited aide.

"I shall ignore how rudely you wrestled me from my resting, and ask what the hell it is that you want?" The aide gave a hesitant chuckle at his leader's tone, but nonetheless straightened up to give him the news.
"The Scouts have returned Sir. They say that the land is prime to settle in! Though they've noted that the land is crawling with Romans, I'm sure they won't bother us."
The old chief gave a grunt, they had better not. The Roman Empire was a bloated and aging whore of a state, long past its prime.
"Well then, I suppose I'll go out and give the order for them to start construction of a new city. But for the love of Odin do not awake me from my slumber so harshly again!"

While the aging leader seemed gruff to those around him, he was in reality more excited than anybody else on the inside. At last, the German tribes and people would have a homeland. At last they could stand up to the Romans. And at last, he, Otto von Bismarck could be lead them to victory.

I don't know where he was, but you better complete that UHV (go get 'em Germany)

PART I: An Empire neither Holy nor Roman

Spoiler :

The Construction was complete, and a city stood. In its early years Berlin was a small city, if you could even call it that at all. In fact, if one were to compare it to a small French village at the time, the likeness would be striking. However, for the Germans, a race that had lived as "Barbarians" for time immemorial, it was a beacon of hope that they were on the right track. That they were on the path to becoming a nation.

And the construction of Berlin did indeed affect all Germans. Settlers eager to form cities of their own in the style of Berlin, spread along the Rhine and beyond. Germanics once called "Barbarians" by the pompous Romans flocked to Berlin's borders, ready to serve in Chieftain Bismarck's already frighteningly large army.

As German might rose and consolidated itself, three major centers of Germanic culture rose up with it. First was of course Berlin, Bismarck's brainchild of city that started it all. But there was also Budapest, a powerful mining town which sprung up along the Danube; and Kopenhagen, a city far to the north in Jutland, representing a far extreme of Germanic influence.

But there was one last piece to the puzzle that was Germany. While it had land to become powerful, Bismarck knew it needed one last thing. The nations around Germany still gave the German people no respect, simply because they were pagans. Christianity, a Roman religion, was the faith of most nations who bordered Germany. Bismarck knew that he would have to convert and forsake the old gods if he wanted to truly see Germany become a great power. And when Christianity spread to the city of Kopenhagen, that's just what he did. They took the new name the "Holy Roman Empire", even if the Germans were in fact neither. Every action Bismarck took was going to plan. Now with religion out of the way, he could finally turn to his first REAL agenda.

The conquest of Rome.

Oh, almost forgot :
make sure this doesn't happens with you
http://flagland.org/strip/4
it makes me so sad when i see something like that... :(

Oh don't worry it won't end up like this, I'll take down France and the Netherlands long before the 1900s. (On a side note thanks for introducing me to that Site, it's pretty awesome).

Are you going to settle Frankfurt?
At some point probably, when I stop doing military production.

Yay, he settled Kopenhagen! :D
You are in fact the second person to be pleased with me on that. Congratulations!

PART II: Sweet Revenge

Spoiler :
Civ4ScreenShot0005.jpg

Bismarck wasted no time in advancing into Rome. He knew exactly what he was dealing with, a nation that was a veteran of its time. A nation with a skilled army, that without a doubt, probably had a plan for a German invasion. The people of the Rhine had to be quick in dismantling the empire, and while the Romans were crafty, Bismarck was even more guile. As the Latins stacked the city of Mediolanum with troops, they were perfectly right to expect a German attack on the City.

But, territory wasn't the first thing on Bismarck's mind. Instead, it was revenge.

Spoiler :

Thus the German army went straight for Rome.

Bismarck knew that the people of the Roman nation were at an impasse with their leaders, and they were just waiting for a Casus Beli to start a civil war. The German Chieftain figured that if he could occupy the capitol for long enough, then Rome as an empire would collapse. And of course, who else but the Unified Holy Roman Empire to pick up the pieces?

Spoiler :
Civ4ScreenShot0007.jpg

Even with the full Roman force not in the city, the fighting was brutal. The disciplined Roman legions were able to inflict heavy loses on the Germans. The horsemen were demolished and many a Germanic axeman was chopped down on that fateful day of the attack.

Spoiler :
Civ4ScreenShot0008.jpg

But with enough pressure...

Spoiler :
Civ4ScreenShot0009.jpg

The city eventually fell.

Bismarck now was to play the waiting game. He simply needed to bide his time before the Roman people dismantled the remains of the empire for him. Surely their rage and anger at the state's incompetence would come swifter than reinforcements? The plan simply had to work. He had to dismantle the Romans for all the Germans that had been slaughtered and called Barbarians in the 480s. For all the discrimination they had faced across the years. Yes. Bismarck's plan was for the chieftains before him, Alaric, Theodoric, and all the others. And as he prayed for their strength to be with him now...

Spoiler :

Rome fell.
