1942: Or, Yet Another WW2 Scenario

I've been working on this WW2 scenario for the longest time and I'm pretty close to giving up. I'm posting my progress so far in case anyone can help. The problem: For some reason, sometimes (more and more lately) when I save the WBS file, the map portion gets cut out. So I start with a full WBS file (600+kb) and then I save and I'm left with a list of civilizations and a WBS file that has shrunk down to 30-something kb and, for obvious reasons, won't open, and I have to reload a backed-up version and start again. I've lost a lot of progress because of this. I just don't understand it. Is it something I'm doing? Is it something inherent in Neoteric World, which is what I used as a base? Is it something in the mods that make up NW? Is it my computer? My version of Civ (D2D)?

What I have now is an almost complete modpack and world map. It's pretty close! But I keep running into this weird and annoying problem. Otherwise it's your basic WW2 scenario that starts in 1942. The first scenario is a world scenario. I also planned to make a European Theater scenario (even did the map; see pics!). Does the world even need another WW2 scenario? I don't know, but here is one, maybe 90% complete. If you want to check it out, you can download it HERE (84.17 MB).

I've tried playing your mod, but I can't find the map for some reason. I extract it to my MODS folder, but when I "play scenario" I can't find Earth1942. I don't know if it's my error or the download's.
