In the screenshots you can see:
  1. I move my scout near the enemy city of Beshbalik. Then I press "Next Turn".
  2. The AI bombards my scout. Then it moves its 2 Great Generals near my scout so I can kill both of them in the same turn (2/2 movement points remaining) .

Edit: Removed the savegame because the bug is fixed and I have my quota almos depleted. [I've attached the savegame (patch 1.0.1.348), so you can test it.]

I think AI can't properly evaluate the danger of recon units. I usually use my scouts at the beginning of the game to kill barbarian archers and damaged warriors. I've never seen an AI using a scout to kill a greatly damaged barbarian as it should.

Anyway, AI moves like these kill off all game immersion. Firaxis, please, fix it :please:

Hay, played my first post patch today. Played two games one was a OCC with Babylon going for cultural victory. Got war declared twice and both times I was able to cath their great general.

Second game I played was as Aztec on Amazon map with raging Barbs (great game) but again got an Incan great general and a Mongol.....

Great generals are just wondering around unprotected at war time with my units in reach of them?!?!?!

Of course, my style of play is likely to be different but I'm trying to figure out the odds of ME ever having a scout (still) at the time some AI has TWO GENERALS ! LOL

Agree that the AI needs very basic-level education on how to protect Great Generals, if not civilian units in general. I feel cheap just running over the AI's exposed GG's, but I can't resist, either.

I think this was a genious move from the ai in order to hide their massive army that is sneaking in from behind, behind that hill in the north east.

Yeah. When they now use GGs more active in offence, it's really easy to catch them. Lure their escorting unit to move and then kill the unprotected GG, if there is an escorting unit at the first place. In my last game Mongols tried to rush me with a Khan as the lonely spearhead of their attacking force.

genious? Is that the opposite of dumbiest?

Sorry, couldn't resist >.>

Anyway, yeah, the AI just begs you to kill its great generals. Seriously, all the time. I'm often puzzled by it too.

Well, now I think I got it!. When I wrote my original post, I thought "dumbiest" was the same as "most stupid". But after your joke I've searched on an online english dictionary and it seems that the correct spelling is "dumbest" and is used only in colloquial speech.

Ok, my bad. My native tongue is spanish and sometimes I make mistakes when writing in english. Please, feel free to correct me. Anyway, it seems the word "dumbiest" is misspelled by many native english speakers (just google it and see the huge number of results you get). I learnt this word on Internet and hence my fault.

Back to Civ V and being more politically correct: please fix those "not so clever" AI GG moves...

I can safely say that it seems the majority of 'native English speakers' can hardly speak English(their regions version) well at all, lol. In fact, if Spanish is your native tongue then I would say that you're doing quite well ;)

I've had many times where I was laying siege to a city with a GG inside, and the AI builds a worker or settler (why...) that pushes the GG outside the city for a free kill. Never seen 2 in a row like that though.
