-And which troops are deployed where.
Sending Orders:
These are simply some of the essential rules that you will need to know to send orders.
You can send out troops to scavenge, spend your economic points, and make any policy decisions you deem necessary in your orders. You may PM them to me or post them on the thread depending on how secure you need them to be.
You can scavenge with soldiers or with militia; you cannot scavenge with your civilian population.
Civilians may use any utility items, like computers, ET Uplinks or automobiles. 1 Unit of automobiles will move 300 civilians. Civilians can do remote scouting using computers or ET Uplinks.
You will never need to equip your soldiers with utility items, if there is a bonus for those items or a special use for them then they will be able to use it without worrying about having them all in hand.
To do research and development on a technology, you must first procure a sample.
You will have to equip your soldiers with weapons, but you can change the individual troops equipment every turn if you find better weapons. If you do not equip your soldiers they will use the least effective weapons available.
Please read the Exploration section in the pre-thread for further notes on scavenge, especially regarding ground travel and fuel.
Your reputation will rise or fall based on your stories, but also your course of action in your orders. I encourage you to follow bold dreams.
Upgrading your Economy costs 3 Economic Points. 2 for factions headquartered in South America. 4 for factions headquartered in the Middle East.
The current update schedule is an update this Saturday and then every other, nonconsecutive Saturday afterwards. I will be writing these updates as I get orders, the earlier I get them the earlier I can start working on it.
In the event that you do not send orders you will not be able to scavenge for that turn, obviously, but your economy will be banked.
Each Update covers 2 Months of Earth Astrological time.
In the event that you don’t send orders for three turns I’ll NPC your faction. That means I haven’t heard from you in like, six weeks.
The Neter and the Dolphins
The two main NPC factions are the Neter and the Dolphins, although NPC is a strong word to describe these groups since they primarily relate to the religious and genetic ties of a various number of smaller groups and neither group possesses a coherent or unified political structure. There are various other random NPCs who hold only the slightest, if any, allegiance either way, but most of the wonders are controlled directly by either dolphins or Neter. An overview of their philosophies can be found here.
Dolphins are primitivists who believe that the use of technology fosters dependence and character weakness. They often need the help of people who possess working technology so that they do not have to use it themselves. They are also reluctant to fight, since they are dolphins and aren't good fighters. Conquest of Dolphin held Wonders is more or less painless. Their goal is to summon Circle Missionaries to the planet. They believe in reincarnation and personal improvement.
Neter are a fanatical religious cult who left the horde when they recognized that Earth is an ancient Holy site for their people. They have humanoid bodies, with the heads of falcons. Earth was set up by their ancestors as a secret fortified compound in case of trouble and they are working to reactivate their local defenses in the event of the Rafiki, or any large group of Circle worshipers, coming back to Earth. They believe in a monotheistic deity who they claim is worshiped by the Abramaic faiths as well.
Other Races
The Lilin are a highly modified genetic superspecies fused together from a collection of races. Limited to the Amazon.
Succubi are humanoids who produce influential pheromones, typically serve as intelligence officers in the Rafiki Horde.
Nitros are tall, birdlike, shock troopers genetically designed by the Rafiki as land forces.
Nalese are feline fighter pilots.
Tourliski are buglike fighter pilots.
Leelah are cyclops ground troops.
Rafiki are the simian former masters of the Horde.
Ukabu Ika are feral floating squids.
The rules can be found in the pre-thread of you want all of the details. If you have further questions then please send me a PM.
Update 1

Update 5
Update 6
Spoiler :
Major George Black nodded, “Fire when ready.”
The satellite readout had seemed reliable, a geosynchronous orbit shouldn’t be hard to target. Not that anything was simple anymore. Hitting a ship in orbit for instance, to hit a target on earth with a long range ballistic missile is to input the latitude and the longitude. But firing rockets in three dimensions, that was taking a much bigger toll. Antiaircraft weapons sought heat or scanned the infrared spectrum to track their prey, but the Rafiki had jammed radar and the infrared spectrum, and ICBM’s were never intended as antiaircraft, let alone anti-spacecraft weapons.
In fact it had been Major Black who held fire when those last orders came out of NORAD, he had started working on the mathematical problems that firing into space with an ICBM posed, trying to salvage what’s left of the satellites or at least fire when they were out of his way, he imagines that the rest of the silos have been fired, at least, it seems like its all finally over.
It seems like their plan worked, in concert with dozens of other plans all over this proud planet. The satellite that his base is uplinking to is only showing one more ship, floating in geosynchronous orbit, an ea sy shot. And most of the other satellites are already gone now anyway. Major Black hadn’t talked to anyone outside this base in 2 months.
Silo one rumbles, then two, four more massive rockets fire off into the sky.
“We are go, sir, the missiles have been launched.”
Now to see is that satellite is still reliable, if any of them are.
“We have a premature explosion, but it’s in the jet stream so it won’t settle here.”
“Don’t worry about it then, they have countermeasures?” Major Black asks.
“It appears they are firing at the missiles.”
“Good thing we sent six.”
“Another two are down.”
“Goddamn Rafiki bastards.”
“We have a ht, the satellite is showing major damage to the craft.”
Black smiles.
“Make that two hits, the ship seems to be going down, sir.”
The command room explodes into applause as the war is finally won, as the invaders are finally repelled. Earth stands strong.
Suddenly the satellite camera flickers to fuzz.
“What’s going on up there?”
“I can’t reach it, I think we shot it down sir.”
“Goddamnit,” Major Black says, “That makes this next part that much harder.”
“What part sir?”
“Picking up the pieces.”
