Well, many thanks to Skullbones, who made my animations playable in Civ III. Also, thanks to Kinboat for his Poser advice. Thank you, Steph, for the SBB--that helps out a lot when working this way!

Well, Kal-el found some free Poser models. This is one of them. I just created the animations for the model. This is a Swordsman flavor unit for European civilizations: English, Germans, French, etc. Enjoy! :D

this is very nice dude, but i wish you would still make modern mechanized units.

would this be used as a middle aged unit?

EXCELENT!!!! It's always nice to see a creator extend his talents to other areas, especially in such a succesful way. :goodjob:

Oh, this figure is lovely!

I think it would be suitable for almost anything from the Goths/Franks/Vandals, all the way up to early Middle Ages. :goodjob:
I have always wanted a Feudal Levy unit that comes before the Civ3 Pikemen (because in reality, the pike was reintroduced in western Europe at about the same time as the Longbow....almost 200 years AFTER, not before, Knights).

Part of the head disappears. Oh well. [/i];)

That's probably what killed him then.

Turned out very cool... If you're planning on turning any of those other poser models into units I'm using the Norman... Just so we don't double up any work.

Well, I was looking at the Norman Knight, but I'm not too familiar with Poser. So, I couldn't put the sword in his hand. So, I'm looking for units with weapons already in hand. ;)

Yeah sure...

Fantastic swordsman, Utah! A general question for you all: Could this swordsman be used as Kryten suggested as a levy-type unit replacing the warrior in European civs after Iron Working? Also, does this base Poser file come with any other weapons like say a Danish-type axe? I would dearly love to see this unit modified and outfitted as a Viking ferdman, with a simple danish-style tunic with round shield and axe. Possibility?

Nice job Utah:thumbsup:, though im not sure what to use this as, it could be a flavor swordsman for the european civ´s, but i think the swordsman looks pretty european already so i dont see the point in replacing him.

Nope, he comes with a sword, shield, and nothing more. Unfortunately, I don't know enough about Poser to create my own figures. So, I can only work with pre-made models--even some of them I can't work with.

So then which one are you working on next? And Kinboat, are you going to put the Norman Knight on a horse? (please say yes)

I don't know.
