The achievements for the Ancient World Scenario, the new wonders, the Korean scenario, and Korea are up on Steam already.

I'm starting to change my mind about Korea, I think I may buy it. ANy idea when it will be released?

I just hope Sumeria will make it to the main civ list some day. As it rightfully should.

It will be released thursday I believe.

There had better be some lush CGI scenes in the wonder scenario cos paying for 3 buildings and a standard scenario is a low blow. I am a big supporter of DLC as I often write here but that's surprised me.

I'm not sure who is the best Science Civ because Babylon gets it's boost so much earlier but to a lesser extent. In the right hands though Korea might just be silly strong. I guess the lack of caravel could balance it. Still a fun twist to a new civ.

A science heavy new civ. I wonder if Korea will get me off my current addiction to Babylon.

They got the throneroom of Kyeongbok Palace perfectly, especially the mural behind His Majesty Sejong. His royal attire is also exactly perfect.

Now all that's left is to hear his Korean. DAE~ HAN MIN GUK! URI NARA MANSAE!

Sejong's leader screen looks great, I'm not usually a fan of the 'throne' screens but the background is very interesting unlike say, Lizzie or Caesar. The border colours are nice too, they're very quite striking and not an eyesore imo.

I think Korea will play a similar way to Babylon (tall empire, specialist economy), although the focus is on science yields, not GS generation, so tech progression will probably be a bit slower. Not sure how strong the capital-science-building boost will be, but I'd have thought getting the great library will be a priority (2 science buildings in one go). Will probably be important to get the GPs from liberty, Hagia Sophia and Porcelain tower too, to make the most of the extra science yields on GP improvements while it still matters... Will probably need to test this out :P

I like the look of the UUs, they appear to be very defensive. Does anyone know if the Hwacha still requires iron (treb reqs iron)? Might still be worth building for sieges depsite the city penalty, if they don't need a strategic resource.

mechanics for great scientist generation haven't changed in the patches. It's pretty simple actually, the way the great people points work. When you pop one and it clears back to zero, you want another city to be half way towards the next one already. The more cities you have the longer you can keep the chain going.

My thoughts too. I understand that they are wonders, but $5 for 3 seems a bit pricey and only one of those wonders looks like it does much of anything significant.

They really should have packaged the wonders together with the Korea civ, especially since they are being released at the same time, but then this is DLC and DLC is all about $$.

I wonder, given the time it takes before specialist economies really take off, if this UA might actually be not as OP as some think. It will be interesting.

Greg also said a patch and patch notes are on the way too, I hope to hear more about that soon.

Well, I would advise you to either buy it with Korea so it's only 2.50 or to simply skip it. Vote with your dollars and don't buy DLC that isn't worthwhile to you.

I'm thinking along the same lines - you can't even get scientist specialists until universities are built. This might have been stronger if there was still a slot for the library. I'd actually be more interested to know exactly how much of a tech boost is given from building a science building in the capital. Presumably the GL, Oracle and library are the only buildings that will affect this pre-education.

My predictions were right also, that Sumeria and the Hittites would be scenario-only, while Korea would be an official civ.

Since the wonders are avail in regular games I'll buy both packs.

But why do I feel like it's getting more and more expensive these DLC packs? Separating the wonders from the Korea civ is a very smart business move but not too nice for fans imo

Korea looks kind of way overpowered. Three wonders? Really? Eh.
