I'm sorry, I'm totally new to mods or skins for Civ V. What are these for? Will they replace the skins of the units in the game? Which units, for which Civ and how come there are so many different tank skins etc.?

Hello Mirando,

welcome to Civ V modding

those units can replace the units in the vanilla game, for any civ you want.

For this to happen you have to make a mod or use an existing mod.
In a mod you can tell the game to use whatever skin you want, or even create new units and give them the skins that you can find in this forum.

For exemple the game has only the destroyer and the battleship classes but you can create your own cruiser class if you need it.

There are so many skins because those units are from the WW2 era and at this time you had different models for a unit and Danrell had the patience to make most of them.

I was thinking about making a Swedish Civ for myself, and I wanted to use Deliverator's housecarl and one of these units for the UU's but I was wondering, in your opinion what is the most important of all these?
