President of the United States

My fellow Americans . . .
Yesterday, December Seventh, Nineteen-Forty One, the United States of America was suddenly and deliberately attacked by naval and air forces of the Empire of Japan, supported by elements of the Royal Navy. I ask congress to declare, that as of December Seventh, Nineteen Forty-One, a state of War has existed between these United States and the Empires of Japan and Britain, forming their so-called 'League of Mutual Co-Prosperity.'
~President Franklin Delano Roosevelt, December 8th, 1941
My fellow Americans. We have been attacked. We have been mauled. We have been destroyed. We have been crushed. But still we hold on by that thread. The thread the Central Powers held. The thread the Spanish held. The thread the British held denying us independence. The thread the French held by in the Hundred Years War. The thread Europe held by when Mongol invasion was imminent. The thread held by the Romans. The thread held by the Greeks. The same thread held by all the peoples before us. Now it is our turn to bear this burden, to hold on, and restore hope to this war torn planet!
The United Kingdom is once again at odds with us. They have abandoned the ties they had with us, when we saved their collective asses 25 years ago. This is their thanks. Its time we said "your welcome".
Japan has struck us with our hands tied behind our back. Yet our brave men still hold. In Guam, Wake, and my home state Hawaii our brave soldiers have valiantly pushed the Japs into the sea! They have been taught humility on land! In the air! In the sea! No matter how many vessels we lose, no matter how many planes we lose, no matter how many men die, we will win! They lose 10 men for every man we lose! We shoot down 10 planes for every one that they even damage!
Germany. How can we strike them? The League that these Japs and Tommies have formed is blocking us! How can we strike at a power that we cant reach? We have short arms. They must grow.
Yet we have scored victories. In the Atlantic the Royal Navy has suffered a catastrophic defeat. Their fleet has been dealt a blow. And we must capitalize on this. This is the first chance we have had, to mount a crushing offensive. The base of Newfoundland has been taken. Bermuda is under assault as we speak. The Caribbean is ours. The Atlantic is a battle we must not lose. These very shores that you live next to are in grave danger. For every victory we have scored the British still have dominance over the Atlantic. Eventually we must go on the offensive. This country shall not be defeated!
We have beat these Tommies both times we have fought them in history. Both times, there has been one reason that we beat that foe that outnumbered and outgunned us. The reason is: WE. ARE. AMERICANS!!!
We have never lost a war. Even when the odds mounted against us, courage prevailed. Even when faced with defeat, freedom prevailed. When attacked, we retaliate. And when we retaliate we win! Yet the previous administration refused to retaliate. They sent our fleets to their deaths against the Japs. They lost the Pacific to the British. They didn't even attempt to assault the Nazis in Germany.
Will we change that? That is up to the people! What have you elected me to do? Am I to seek a peace with our enemies? Am I to send our brave men to their deaths? Am I going to let the mainland be invaded? Even as we speak, the same bastards that shocked us at Pearl Harbor are planning something bigger. They rule Asia. Now they come for the Pacific. We are in their way. Will we step aside? NO! They are one step away from invading the Americas themselves. We must act!
Today we embark upon an adventure. Today we set forth on a quest. Yesterday we were losing. Tomorrow we will be winning. Next week our enemies shall be in ruins. Their carriers will be at the bottom of the sea. Their men will be in graves. The planes will be our scrap metal. Today we set forth to accomplish that. Today, is the final day of infamy. Today is the turning of the tide. Our ships are poised to make a last desperate strike at Japan the same way she attacked us last year. In less than 24 hours, Tokyo will be a ruin. No, it will be something else too. It will be OURS!
WE ARE THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA! WE ARE THE LAST HOPE OF VICTORY! SO LETS GO SHOW THEM JAPS AND TOMMIES EXACTLY WHY WE ARE STILL FREE IN THIS HOSTILE WORLD!
~President John Arya Armitage, February 9th, 1942

March, 1942.
The Japanese and the British, long allied since the end of the Great War, have forged an alliance. Who is Lord Haulsee, the mysterious figure controlling the League? No one knows - but everyone outside it wants him dead. The Japanese and British have scourged their way through China, and begun a campaign of conquest in Africa against Belgium and France, turning a blind eye to the German Reich on mainland Europe.
The Allied Powers are in no shape to fight. President Armitage of the USA has withdrawn the USN to form a shield around Hawaii, while the majority of the Navy has entered the Atlantic to battle the British Royal Navy's main presence. The US Asiatic Fleet has ceded the Phillippines, Indonesia, Guam, Wake Island, and more.
What remains of the Allied Navy is a wreck. The powerful ships have been steamrolled by the League Navy, the most powerful fleet on the face of the planet. That juggernaut is poised to invade Australia and New Zealand, knocking America's only two Asiatic allies out of the war.
All the Allies can bring to bear are obsolescent ships and exhausted crews. The League seems unstoppable . . . .
