The Armenians: My first non-standard BtS civ. The Armenians are represented early on by the Armenian Empire, then by the Kingdom of Armenia in the Medieval and Renaissance ages, and then they're modern Armenia in the Industrial and Modern ages, with a good amount of Soviet and Russian units as well.

Spoiler :
Step 1: Download mod.
Step 2: Unzip the mod to your BtS mods folder.
Step 3: Open the mod's folder and open the document called 'Armenia_CIV4CivilizationInfos'
Step 4: Above the city list, there should be a line that says <UnitArtStyleType>UNIT_ARTSTYLE_ARMENIA</UnitArtStyleType>. Change it to <UnitArtStyleType>UNIT_ARTSTYLE_EUROPEAN</UnitArtStyleType>
Step 5: Enjoy Armenia with standard ingame flavour units.

Note: I don't know how to make the AudioScripts stuff modular. Thus, the XML is normal, but the music is in the modular file.

Comments, Criticisms, and Advice appreciated.

I would choose different leaders: Tigran and Trdat. If I were still in Civ IV LH-making I'd make them, but unfortunately I can't help. You can, however, look in my LH database for similar looking LHs.
But it is nice that somebodt finally made an Armenia civ as they did have a great empire in ancient times.

Agreed, Tigranes should definitely be a leader for this civ
Nice job btw ;)

Yeah, I didn't state the reason why though. Although you can find it in Wikipedia. Tigran (or Tigranes in Latin) was the great king of Armenia ever, and Trdat (Tiridates in Latin) was the one who made Armenia the first Christian counrty in the world, that means before Rome. I remember that in 2001 the Armenians were celebrating 1700 years of Christianity in Armenia, that means this year they mark the 1710th anniversary.

I'll probably add in Tigranes once I find a LH that will suit him. Would Imp/Org be good for Tigranes the Great?

Version 2 Released

Tigranes II added!
Flavour Mech Infantry and Stealth Bomber added.

Version 3 Released

New Leaderhead for Tigranes II(More ethnic, and makes it easier for me to make the Seleucid Empire)
Unique Diplomusic for Tigranes II
New Graphics for the Knight

Hey :)
Re: credits - I only made Khachkar UB & Vishap UU (by myself/Bakuel), the rest is by the following people:

Spy, Axeman, Archer, Spearman, Longbowman, Horse Archer - ambrox32
Maceman - Castor_Troy
Worker, Musketman - Bakuel
Ashot I = El Cid by Ekmek

It's says that it's the Battleship, Carrier, and Attack Submarine under the picture. (It's respectively, also.)

meant like the name of the unit, like im pretty sure the carrier is a Kuznetsov class, i was just wondering what the battleship and attack submarine were

Oh, the Battleship is a Kirov, and the Attack Submarine is an Akula.

Looks cool. What language do they speak when you click on them? And I noticed you took the Vishap Swordsmen (they seem crazy overpowered, though; can get Drill promotions, retreat, and is unbeatable when defending hills and can't be countered by Axemen; probably should be a Melee unit) directly from the Broken Crescent mod for Medieval II. Nice to see another player. I'm glad to see an Armenian civ implemented.

I know the Vishap is OP. They are more manageable in Ad Infinitum, but some still think them overpowered. In addition, they got a lot of new unit graphics in Ad Infinitum. Sadly, they speak Russian, due to a lack of Armenian unit quotes.

Hey Dumanios, I am also working on an Armenian civ for my mod. I have different unique unit art which I can share with you once the mod is finished, but I just wanted to pick your brain for a bit. Firstly, we are using a Carpet Weaver as the UB, I was sort of against this from the start, so basically I am asking you to either tell me I was right and it is a stupid UB to use for Armenia, or tell me to relax and that it is an appropriate UB to use. Secondly, for the UU we are using a horsearcher replacement called Ayrudzi, I just want to know if this is the right word to be using. As of now we have it ignore terrain movement costs and something else (can't remember the second bonus).

Finally for leaders we are using Tigranes and Ruben I. Thoughts?

I presume the Carpet Weaver is a market replacement. I wish it had a more specific name, but I also don't want everyone to use the Khachkar.

As for the Ayrudzi, it makes sense era-wise. One could use it as a Horse Archer with access to defensive bonuses.
