Camel Archer - bugged?

Camel archers don't seem to be weak against spear/pikemen, or anything else for that matter, I'm guessing this is a bug as it says in the civilipedia they are supposed to be.

I just played a game where I had pikemen dying trying to attack them.

camels are knight's replacement so of course they would get penalty... did you check combat box for modifiers?

Yep, no penalty vs pikeman/spearman...like I said. No bonus when you attack a camel archer with either of those units. Maybe since they are a ranged unit, Firaxis forget to apply it?

maybe they are camels so pikemen ability to damage horses doesn't work...

Chariot archers, camel archers and keshiks are treated NOT as mounted units, but as archery units, and as such spearmen/pikemen get no bonuses vs them.

Another error in civilopedia perhaps. This one is fixed in VEM.
