This is one of the final three polls for Civilizaion V, and the Voics of Civilization playlist. '500 Food' is the poll for the 16 era-entering quotes, 12 of which from various sources, and four small introductions by Morgan Sheppard. This poll is also one of two multiple choice polls, you can vote for as many as you like, because the top selection from each era; Classical, Renaissance, Modern and Future Eras - will be added to the playlist;

the Classical Era
'Proud is the spirit of Zeus fostered kings. Their honor comes from Zeus, and Zeus, God of council, loves them.'

'He who knows others is wise. He who knows himself is enlightened.'

'The king's might is greater than human; And his arm is very long.'

'Welcome to the Classical Era.'

---
the Renaissance Era
'Whoever desires to found a state and give it laws must start what assuming that all men are bad and ever ready to display their vicious nature whenever they may found occation for it.'

'In the country of the blind the one eyed man is king.'

'Do you not know my son with what little understanding the world is ruled.'

'Welcome to the Renaissance Era.'

---
the Modern Era
'The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.'

'A single death is a tragety. A million deaths is a statistic.'

'Mister Gorbachev, tear down this wall.'

'Welcome to the Modern Era.'

---
the Future Era
'For tomorrow belongs to the people who prepare for it today.'

'The future is not what it used to be.'

'I never think about the future, it comes soon enough.'

'Welcome to the Future Era.'

---
The Welcome to quotes are in Latin (Classical), Spanish (Renaissance), and Chinese in English letters (Future)

It's not clear what this is about at all. What 500 food are you talking about? What kind of a title is that? What's Voics of Civilization playlist? What's the point? Why are there no links near 'click on the link'? Why don't you put the full quotes in the poll options? Why does this have to be so confusing?

Well, it's a project I've been working on for about two months now. I'll provide a link to the beginning post, but essentially I'm building a playlist of the quotes and speeches from Civilization IV and V, with the community helping in the selection process. '500 Food' is just the term I use to mean to poll, it's the amount of resources needed to spend on the first era advancement in Age of Empires; I'm an AoE fan! :P And the links are added now, I posted all three polls at once and I had to start the polls to get the right links; and I have to cut down the quotes in the polls because it's suggested to keep the options short but to the point. It's also why the full quotes are in the post.

Anyway, this is the original post; the Voices of Civilization Playlist

Thanks for explaining!

Did Morgan Shepard also voice the 'This is lush fertile land, I think we can make a home here' chief from the intro? Come to think of it, that is actually a pretty nice line, maybe consider it as well? :p
