After opening UITexture.fpk with Dragon UnPACKer, I've found some interesting stuff. As has previously been mentioned, there is wonder art for both the Panama Canal and the Three Gorges Dam, as well as a file for the LHC that is only black. There is also another Natural Wonder that has been guessed to be Lake Titicaca. However, there is more within the file.

- Advisors were originally going to change with the eras. I'll upload pics soon, but for each advisor there is an Ancient version (The current one we have) a Medieval, and a Modern.

- Some of the files are really wierd for me. The building atlas is essentially a jigsaw puzzle. If anyone is able to find a working version of it that would be awesome.

- There is also a highlighted Black specialist. In the same way that Red is unemployed, Purple is artist etc. could it be a General specialist?

Don't know anything about modding, but these could be used for the next patch.
Any clue as to how long they have been around?

I would presume since the file was last updated, 12 August 2011. But I would guess they have been in there since pre-release, otherwise they would actually be ingame.

Ah, okay.
Wonder why they would just throw them in there?
Guess its no harm to include them if they ever want to "activate" them later.

There's actually a mod in the mod browser that makes it change according to era using those images.

Believe Panama Canal stuffs were around for a long time, like game release. IIRC.

Yeah, it was. Anyway, I've finally been able to get the Building atlas to appear properly (Thanks to cuc to pointing out the program!) And inside, there are alternate icons for the Factory and Market, as well as an icon for a Supermarket, and one which I have absolutely no clue about. I'll upload 'em soon.

And, here we go with pics. First of all, the buildings:

This one is an alternate icon for the factory, already widely known-of.

I think this is another alternate icon, this time for the market

Finally one I can be certain of, the Supermarket. Not grouped with Unique Buildings.

This one, however, has left me stumped. What building is this for?

Now, we're into two technology icons. I think they are Publishing and Calculus, although in what order I am not sure. They could also be alternate icons for Writing.

Next up we have the Units atlas. There are two new units here, both naval (Although one is simply a black icon with a name)

I'm thinking this could be a Carrack, reminds me somewhat of the one in Civ 4.

No prizes for guessing this one...

Now, we have modern icons for the Worker and Great People:

Worker

Artist

Engineer

General

Merchant

Scientist (And his kickass ride)

Now, the long-promiced advisor pictures no. 2 and 3, next to each other.

Economic advisor

Foreign advisor

Military advisor

Science advisor

Nicely done artwork who ever did it!

Just to ask a really basic question about the artwork in Civ5 because essentially I'm clueless on it. Is it true that the only 3D buildings we see in the game are Wonders, Colosseums and a couple of others, and the rest is just a 3D model of the city at various sizes and ages. Do you think there is provision to include see-able 3D models for every building in Civ5? I've never seen a DX11 version of Civ5. I'm assuming that DX11 does not include extra 3D models relative to DX9 for example.

Thanks
Cheers
