The Hypercultural United Silly States Republic of Utopia
Government System
Take a military council/junta, add a teaspoon of unitary republic, a stick of a confederacy, and and wrap it in an empire. The recipe you'll get is the USSR's government.

History
Probably the youngest nation in the game, since its people just arrived here! It was created to be an exact mirror of the planet it's based on -- called the Union of Allied Utopian Races. It is republic made up of five individual states. Because this dimension is vastly unknown to Utopians, an "evolutionary culture conept" was adopted to fit the assumed ever-changing atmosphere of the unknown area. The USSR is currently led by a military council (the top ranking members of each military branch), who then governs the homeland like a unitary state, and other territories like an empire, or vassals. The time calendar has been reset, and is currently at YY 0001 -- as its the first year that the Utopians have been . . . here. Wherever "here" is. The United Kingdom in this IOT is the homeland, since it is the first territory colonised.
OOC Backstory
This is a nation made from other individual ones that are all parts of my personal role-play. It's a "rolling story" I've created just for IOT, that might eventually end up as canon. Long story short, they were separate species that recently united under one banner and the knowledge of the "mother race", the Orijins, with the intent of creating a united homeworld (Silly Utopia). They were chasing an enemy in their dimension when . . . a miscalculation threw them about, and landed them here. I put some basic information of it on the IOT Wiki. So yeah -- multi-racial species that're historically the same, yet diverse as Hell. Their national identity also changes with each IOT that's all for creativity -- hence the "hypercultural".
At Their Best . . .
Because the Orijins have spread-out so much and evolved, each child race brings an impressive pool of abilities to the table. Things such as racial or other biological prejudice is looked down on in Utopian society, simply because it servers no purpose, and would be almost contradictory due to the diversity of the species. The Utopians are like ants -- each race is given a task based on their biological area(s) of expertise. The gene pool here is large, and just about every base has been covered by one of the child races. Expect efficiency, effectiveness, and innovation to be integral parts of Utopian culture.
At Their Worst . . .
Such over-organisation is potentially harmful. Like the legs of a centipede, all extremities must be working -- heading towards the same goal, to advanced the entire body, or community. When one leg is broken or otherwise made unable to contribute, the entire body may suffer. Utopians' weakness (so far) lies in their reliance on specific fields of labour for each of the sub-species. And if one can overturn thing and make 'em sour, expect disillusion, faultiness, and a generally uncoordinated nation.
