“We need more wraiths.”
It was a mere statement, yet some would say the man who spoke it was fear incarnate, next to The Dark Lord himself. He was only slightly above average in height at 6’3, yet he appeared imposing even when sitting on a log around a fire in the forest as he was now, because his most intimidating feature was not his height; it was his expression, or rather lack of one. It was the way he moved, always exact, always for a purpose, and all too often that purpose was to swing his magnificent 7 foot enchanted ruby sword in death strokes, one after another. A mask covered his face in tandem with his war helm over his head in combat, but right now, it was merely an analyzing expression, thinking about the current problem.
“Why? Are you not confident in your supreme abilities to assure my rise to power Arka?” The new speaker was seated in the shadows, although how those shadows reached to the edge of the fire was a mystery to all. This new speaker had what many would gruesome features. His skin was nearly black, although some lines of gray and red lined it, and the red pulsed as if it showed the blood flowing inside of him…but that was impossible because The Dark Lord’s blood didn’t flow. His wraiths didn’t even have any. He wore no armor even though his 3 wraith lieutenants in the clearing were dressed for battle, with only a hooded cloak on his unusual and powerful body.
Of the other two wraiths in the small clearing, only one stirred at this, while the other one continued to bundle his rope without acknowledging the others.
“Surely you aren’t afraid of the forces of Light? They are not weak by any means, but they are no match for our power Arka. We shall prevail.” His voice was calm and full of the sound that many would expect from a wise old man. Perhaps it was merely his tone. It was far removed from the silky voice of The Dark Lord, and the gritty, almost raspy, voice of Arka.
“The forces of Light? I could kill those Grace kids given a single two on one duel; I could pulverize Leo Black; and Si Rohne? Even Christopher over there could kill him with his rope. Hell, even you Augustus could kill him off. He’s a mere mortal who cant use magic and doesn’t know how to wield a sword properly.”
“No, what worries me is Majestic. We all know who, or rather what, leads them. We all know their top weapons. And we all know that should they choose to take us down once we come into the open, they would do so, perhaps not with ease, but not with particular difficulty either. We need more power; more than that, we need more wraiths.” After that Arka submitted to a rather nasty coughing fit that had obviously been building up in his mini speech, and could be seen visible constraining his abilities to speak normally.
“A rather wise sentiment. I would have expected no less of my very best lieutenants which is why I already have several new wraiths on the way. Some I have already visited, some I plan on doing soon. Do not worry. Even though I don’t share all of it with the likes of you three, I have a plan. A master plan so it shall be, a Successful plan!” The dark Lord finished with a bit of flair, and the charismatic voice emanating from such a gruesome body and face being very disorienting to those not used to it.
Suddenly the rope coiling in Christopher’s arms struck out like a whip towards Arka’s face. Arka almost lazily deflected it with a mere flick of his hand, although it all happened much faster than that.
“Try again Chris.” Arka said warily.
“Not until you stop killing loyal civvies.”
Augustus sighed.
Welcome to my new AC! My first one a while ago didn’t go so well, nor last so long, but I’m trying again now. The premise is a reboot of the RP3 side AC, although by the end, the ‘side’ AC had overshadowed the main game because of what a success it was to the players. Hence my inspiration for restarting it…in a way.
Instead of starting on your own, this time you will join The Dark Lord in his rise to power. From the time of a few measly wraiths, to the era of absolute dominance of Senta (the name this world is called by) and the crushing of all his enemies, you shall accompany him and his rising empire doing various deeds. Sometimes you will have your choice, sometimes he will give you a quest.
Below it will all be explained, but basically you start off with barely a handful of spells and only 3 LF (or spell ‘uses’
, although you can choose any weapon you like as well.
As I judge the above to be a crappy intro and summary, I invite all of you to sign up, and try at least 1 or 2 missions before deciding on staying or not. If you don’t think you have the time, sign up anyway and we will see if we can work something out. Who knows, maybe we will!

Magic: Magic is a not a ‘complex’ business. There are not many set rules though. You get life force, and you use it in your spells. You are limited by these spells, as you only know 5 at the start, but will gradually learn more as you progress. You are also limited in your magic by the amount of LF of other beings you possess. You start with 3 LF. Unlike the original RP3 AC this was based on, you DO NOT need to pick your spell as you get LF. Its just a pool of LF you can use on any spell at any time.
Element: You will choose an element, Fire, Earth, Water, or Air. With this element, you can do small scale magic without using LF or spells. An Air user could fly, a fire user could throw fireballs, an earth user could throw rocks around, and a water user could swim faster or use a wave of water to disorient enemies. These will be very useful if used correctly. As you progress and level up, you may end up being able to perform rituals that will let you change your element to a more powerful, less worldly element.
Weapons: You choose the weapons that you will have. You have 4 slots for weapons. They are Primary, Secondary, Ranged, and Close Range. Primary is the great sword you have always dreamed of, the war hammer that your dwarf father gave to you, or that mace you love killing enemies with. Secondary can be a backup weapon of yours, such as a second sword to hold in your off hand, or perhaps some sort of magical staff, or even a close range weapon if you choose to wield a shield as well. Basically, its a slot for a second weapon in any of the other categories if you want 2 weapons there, such as a whip and a bow from ranged. Long and mid ranged. Ranged is obvious. A bow, a long bow, a cross bow, slingshot, a whip, things of that nature. Close range could be a sturdy knife, a short sword, gauntlets, and a shield can also be used here in place of one of these things.
Now beware, the more slots you use, the slower you will be. It will not be a great difference, but carrying more weapons will effect your combat performance, especially against bosses because of your reduction in speed and quickness.
Also, when you list your weapons, make sure you note which weapon is enchanted. This will be explained farther down, but is of great importance.
Life Force: Life force is a very important part of this game. Although not ESSENTIAL to a wraith in order to fight, it will be very helpful to have in fights against bosses. What is most important about it, is its what fuels your spells. You start with 3 LF. There are 3 ways of gaining LF.
1) You use your enchanted weapon to kill a mortal. Killing this mortal will give you their life force. The down side to this, is that you have to be using this weapon when you kill them, and you start off with only one weapon enchanted.
2) You are given LF by TDL at the end of the mission alongside XP. This could come from a source of sacrifices TDL has access to, TDLs power itself, or many other things that you will nevere know about unless he reveals them to you. Don’t count on it.
3) You find and/or take ‘Life Force Crystals’ from an enemy you defeat or a structure that you scavenge. These will most likely be found among mages of the order you defeat, and any others whom use magic. Some are valued at more LF than others.
Companions: Over the course of the game, you will end up encountering characters that wish to accompany you on your quests. These may be Dragons, Krakens, werewolves, normal attack dogs, or elves, humans, dwarves. It all depends on where your quests take you on what options open up to you. Once they join you, you will be able to control them in combat and on quests, just as they aid you through such.
Alignment: Alignment is where you are on the scale of good to evil. You start off at 7 because you are a wraith, and inherently evil because of it. However, while becoming more evil may win you favor from TDL, moderating your alignment may make you more appealing to the common man, make diplomacy easier for you should you choose to use it in a nice way, and should you become ‘good’ enough, cause the forces of light to approach you for your services. Realize however that changing your alignment takes time and becoming too good may cause you to face the wrath of TDL.
Leveling up system:
You advance levels by getting XP. Each mission, you will get a set amount of XP based on what you did and how well you did it. At some levels, you may even gain access to a certain ability or option that you may choose to use. With each level, it passively gets harder to kill you, and your passive wraith qualities increase. Your dark speech hurts mortals more, your eyes start to look more like a true wraith, you even start to emit an aura of fear among mortals that aren’t resistant.
Level 2: 500
Level 3: 1200 – Can opt to carry only 1 close ranged OR ranged weapon, AND see an increase in LF gained and do more with their elemental powers, as well as learn new spells, and just generally become more powerful in magic.
Level 4: 2300 – Mind Element
Level 5: 3400 –
Level 6: 4500 –
Level 7: ???? –
Level 8: ???? –
Level 9: ???? -
Level 10: ???? -
NOTE: The dashes (-'s) indicate that the level provides some special ability or option that you may choose to use once they are unlocked. Right now, you only know what happens when you access level 3 and 4. As people unlock those, further ones will be unlocked. The number next to the level indicates how much XP you need to achieve in order to level up to that level. You start at level 1 with 0 XP.
Death in this game is rarely permanent. Only certain weapons, made of certain materials and enchanted by many spells, can kill you, and even then you shall come back thousands of years later. Instead, only magic and silver weapons as well as certain 'enchanted' weapons may kill you....although you shall come back after 2 missions. Each time you come back though, you drop increasingly more levels, so it should still be noted that you shouldn't throw away your form as with that form comes your power.
Known Spells to all:
Razh N'areth - Killing spell. Any one target is slain.
Eph Heren - Telekenisis spell. Any one object can be manipulated by the caster's mind until they release it or can no longer concentrate fully on it.
Orm Tapharith - Invisibility spell. Grants temporary invisibility.
Hath Yahoram - Low-level teleportation spell. Instantly transports anywhere within line of sight.
Alem Narin - Low-level spell of Banishment. Hurts creatures of darkness badly.
