Buildings need to be built twice after destruction by events

Possible bug - buildings destroyed by event have to be built twice to be permanently built. (ie after first construction after being destroyed the building is not built, only when constructed a second time. Not sure if purchasing may be related)

I have had this with the tsunami destroying a lighthouse, and the flashflood destroying a water mill.

Could you explain some further details? Is this what's happening:

  1. Lighthouse built, visible in city.
  2. Tsunami destroys lighthouse, not in city.
  3. Lighthouse built, not in city.
  4. Lighthouse built, visible in city.
?

Also, specify if it's built or purchased; those actions use different internal code.
 
This just now happened to me.
1) Built harbor in city.
2) Tsunami came and destroyed all coastal buildings. Checked and no Harbor. :(
3) Purchased Harbor because I was about to finish frigate and wanted the experience.
4) After frigate built I opened the city display to build a seaport and guess what? No Harbor. No experience on the frigate either so somebody owes me. Corruption in high places?

3)Built lighthouse, not visible and no effects of lighthouse are there (I think)
4)Purchase lighthouse, visible.

Im pretty sure that is what happened, although I cant quite remember. However with the water mill I believe I switched 3) and 4) with the same effects taking place (With water mill only being visible after second constuction.
I apologise for not being too accurate with this, as it was rather early game and i just continued playing.

Another issue - the event which allows the construction of a cultural building - should the UB for the Songhi be built instead of a temple as its equivalent? As I was able to aquire both.
 
I discovered these natural disasters set the number of buildings in the city to -1, instead of 0. I fixed this for v129. Thank you for bringing this up! :thumbsup:
 
Hi,

Just finished a v129 game, and fortunately did not encounter a situation (like in v128) where a natural disaster would destroy a building and then force the player to rebuild or purchase it twice to restore that building.

Did not see anything in the update notes for v129, so wanted to check: was I just lucky, or did this bug actually get fixed in v129/v130?
