Help me track down why I cannot post in CFC with IE

First, I considered posting this in the computer help forum, but as this issue is exclusive to CFC, I thought site feedback may be a better location. Mods move if you disagree, please.

Anyway, I cannot post at all in IE. Whether it be quick post or clicking on reply and trying to post in that, I just cannot post. Cannot type any content in the post box, period. This is the only site I have this problem with. Same problem in both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of IE. I've tried disabling ALL add-ons, disabling only non-MS add-ons, etc. Here is my browser version information:

Version: 9.0.8112.16421 (64-bit same obviously)
Update version: 9.05 [KB2647516]

What I was hoping was maybe someone posting what they have enabled currently in their add-ons, if some are disabled, etc. OR, if someone has encountered this before and knows the fix! Thanks much

P.S. - If your suggestion is to just use Firefox or some other browser, I'd prefer you just not reply. Thank you.

Don't have IE9 here (due to XP), but google says that you can fix the problem by adding CFC to IE9's compatibility list (link1, link2).
-> seems to be a problem with the vbulletin software, and is not specific to CFC (...if the suggestion works, which we'll have to see).

So its only the post box that doesn't work, and everything else functions? Can you type in the search box etc? I am wondering whether you have a corrupted control or something. If its specific to a text box, then that is strange.

Have you tried clearing your cache & cookies? Does the forum recognize you as logged in?

Actually, slight update. I've reset the browser completely from the advanced tab. I can now quick post and go advanced. It's now just restricted to using the quote feature AND the post preview if I first select quote.

Yes, I can type in search box btw. I'll keep fidding...
