History: After being occupied by Germany during the 2nd World War, Luxembourg was liberated by the United States Army and fought along side them. But, as the war started to close, the Revolution shook Europe. The Nations of Europe were broken and shattered by this, some being reduced to duchies, and kingdoms. In Luxembourg, families fought each other for the throne, and for the control of the country. Eventually, Chrisitan von Luxembourg defeated all his enemies, and united the country under his absolute rule in 1949. He reestablished the Luxembourgian Kingdom, and proclaimed that he was going to lead Europe into a new era.

History-When Berlin fell, all of Italy fell apart. It divided into the warring city-states of the Middle Ages. However, the land of Rome stayed strong, and a new leader arose to lead them. Marcus Vincenzo reformed the government into the way it was before the Empire, but a bit was changed.
Description of the Government of the Republic of Italy : there are 2 consuls, each of which could balance out the other and acted as Presidents. The Senators act as the Cabinet of the US Government did, each with a certain position and duty to fulfill. The Praetors act as the judges, and they can declare laws unjust or against the Constitution. The Quaestors act, however, as the Legislative branch,and they pass laws instead of their old duty.

History: The Indian Independence Movement had been gathering steam when revolution rocked the world. As barricades where thrown up in cities around the world, the Indian National Congress faced a critical decision. Factions within the INC disagreed on whether or not the time was right for more active steps towards liberating India. As the war and revolutions raged, one faction, Azad Hind, was aided by the collapsing Japanese Empire.

The Japanese Empire intended to use Azad Hind as a blunt instrument against the crown jewel of the British Empire. As both the Japanese and British Empires fell further into the turmoil of revolutions, Azad Hind managed to maintain its strength, buoyed by their vision of independence. As the storm passed, Azad Hind became one of the few bastions of authority left in the region. A proclamation was delivered, and the Provisional Government of Free India became the Republic of Free India.

Officially a parliamentary democracy, the Republic of Free India is heavily militarized. The army's commander-in-chief has the power to both veto anything the parliament passes, but also to authorize any action without parliamentary approval, as well as to appoint and dismiss most of the government positions that do have actual power. The army maintains this is a temporary measure, enacted to ensure that the nation stands united in these difficult times.

The Third French Empire

When the Revolution reached France in 1942, Louis Napoleon (the head of the Bonaparte Family) was stationed in Guyana in the event that the Brazilian government (who had some Axis sympathies in TTL as a result of The Revolution). After the collapse of any authority in France and South America, Louis Napoleon rallies his fellow Foreign Legionnaires, liberated Cayenne and declared himself Emperor Napoleon IV of France and quickly conquered the surrounding area. However, due to the lack of any communication and infrastructure capable of crossing oceans, he is limited to South America for the time being.

History:Shortly after British South Africa revolted, separatists in Canada who wanted to break away from the British Crown seized the provincial capital of Ontario, Toronto. The separatist movement, dubbed "the Free Peoples Movement of Ontario" quickly gained support from the surrounding areas, and Ottawa soon fell to the new revolution. Things did not go well for the British Crown. With enough on their slate already, Britain paid little attention to the revolt in Canada, and let it fester.

A decade letter things are going alright for the Free Republic of the Great Lakes and Ontario. The main goal for the Parliament at the moment is to get a stable economy up and running within its own borders, as well as expand around the Great Lakes and into the former area of Quebec and the North Eastern U.S.

Government: Officially, a democratic republic; however, the Sun Yee On Triad and its affiliates use their power and influence to move government policy in the direction they want.

History: When the fires of the Revolution spread through out the British Empire, the Triads wasted no time seizing what they could of the remnants of the British held island. Unfortunately, this immediately led to fighting between the Triads, and with no military or police around, open warfare soon erupted. For five long years, the Triads were locked in bitter conflict, amassing conventional weapons and resources to combat each other. In 1950, the Wo Hop To allied itself with the Sun Yee On, in an effort to defeat the 14K. In one swift move, the 14K were crushed and scattered. The Wo Shing Wo, the last of the "Four Major Gangs", fled to the mainland. All other Triads either joined with the Sun Yee On and the Wo Hop To, or were crushed.

Hong Kong was now the Triads' to run. However, setting up a totalitarian state would have been too public, and would have invited dissension. Therefore, the Triads approached the Provincial Republic of Hong Kong, and organization which had tried to establish a working government after the Revolution, with a deal. The PRHK would be allowed to "rule" as the official government, provided that all major decisions were to be passed on to the Triads, and key positions in the military and government were to be given to Triads leaders. With the Triads now controlling 67% of the businesses and 86% of the military on the island, the PRHK had no choice but to accept.

Expansion of the newly-christened Free Republic of Hong Kong began in early 1950. The Wo Shing Wo and remnants of the 14K, having fled to the mainland, began attacking and seizing Sun Yee On assets in the Guangdong Province. In retaliation, the FRHK, lead by the Triads, began a massive invasion of the mainland. Triad and Republican troops swept across the province in a nearly 4 year campaign, striking at both rival Triads and local warlords. In late 1954, the FRHK declared victory in its conquest, though the Wo Shing Wo have since established themselves in other parts of China, and are funding rebels in the area.

Edit: Only the top civilian and military leaders of the FRHK know about the Triads' control over the government. The majority of the populace do not that the Triad basically run the whole show, or even how far their power stretches. The Triads use various legal entities to cover their involvement, thus making them more fearful.
