Problem with advisor screen

I am using Windows 7 with this patch http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=193215 and I have this problem with the High Council screen:

Anyone know how to fix this?

You're probably missing Indeo codec 4.1, required by classic Civ2 videos. You can download the Indeo codecs from here. IIRC, that pack contains versions 3, 4 and 5 of the codec.

I downloaded it too but it did not work for me.
I must say that i get absolutely no response when i click the 'high council'.

can someone help please

Just registered so I could say thank you for this. I recently started playing Civ 2 again, for the first time on a Win7 machine, and was most disappointed when I completed my OCC game just to have it crash when I arrived at Alpha Centauri. Installed the Indeo codec and it worked perfectly.

See here. ToT doesn't have the High Council.

Enable Indeo 4.1 codecs (they come with Win11, possibly before already but are disabled) with CodecTweakTool_667.exe under ACM/VFW (x86)
