Civilization 4 July files update

Summer...sunshine...well, not everywhere. But rainy summer holidays can be used for playing Civ4, and sure for mods .
As usual we have a bunch of new things, and also updated ones. The Travel Through Time series got new updates and a new part, there's a new release of Dune Wars after a long time and updates for some of the other major mods too.
One mod is particularly interesting, the strategic rivers mod. I think since Civ4 has been released, there were always the complainments about why rivers are not navigable. Now they are! This mod moves the rivers to the centers of the tiles and allows you to move ships onto them. Now you can really be a viking and raid Paris with longboats. The mod also adds some more river related strategic changes which needed adjustment, e.g. new river related promotions and changes in city placement. Best you check it out yourself and read the thread .
Another interesting thing this time is that Caveman2Cosmos has dramatically increased its performance in the current working version by optimizing the RAM usage, which is a first step to implement the multi-maps-feature, which we had here in the last announcement. Definitely an interesting developement which is worth watching .
And more people have been busy . We have now more religious movies, 4 new civs and a bunch of new units, which you can see to the right. Also congrats to platyping for having now more than 200 mod components .
For the rest check the list below, to see if you can find something interesting .
Happy civving .
