ChristosIOT I

Year 2083. I am sending this message to anyone who can hear me. Before 12 years, the Droids of the 8th generation revolted against their human masters. War started all over the earth. Nukes were used, millions died and a new dark age begun. The humans who hided in underground bases managed to survive. All other died. I am one of the few who survived outside the bases. I am afraid of my life. Droids are everywhere. Please help me! zzzzzzzzzz Hey you bastard!! zzzzzz aahhhh!!!! zzzz.................................

You are one of the humans who survived the nukes. You must rebuild your nation and face the evil droids.

House Rules

1. Do not flame, troll, or personally insult any other player OOC or IC. At all. You may comment on certain things negatively, but don't take it further than that.
2. Stay on topic. Make sure all comments are relevant to the fictional world of the current IOT and have nothing to do with your personal religious/political beliefs.
3. Your posts should actually consist of something relevant to your nation and not just one-liner comments. Do not spam.
4. Long diplomatic discussions belong to the realms of Social Groups or visitor and private messaging, not the Game Thread.
5. No powergaming. By definition, powergaming is making your country surpass every other country by all terms including armed forces, technology, etc.
6. The GM is supreme. He reserves the right to change game rules, ignore or modify orders, impose restrictions on players, disband player nations, and so on.
7. Please write your orders in Red and Bold, so I can see them better. Blue is reserved solely for me to make rule notices, warning players, etc.
8. Above all else, RESPECT THY FELLOW FORUMERS.

Starting

Claim 1 province, write a history (be realistic) and the name of your nation.

Bonus
There are two teams:

Humans (PC's) - Factories cost 2 IC instead of 4.
Droids (NPC's) - Armies cost 50% less.

Units

The Units in this game have Cost, Defense and Attack.

Spoiler :
Squad

Cost: 2 IC
Attack: 4
Defense: 3

Basic Unit. Good for both attack and defense.

Snipers

Cost: 4IC
Attack: 8
Defense: 4

Good units for attack.

Paratroopers

Cost: 6IC
Attack: 9
Defense: 1

Good units for attack. At defense they are terrible. They can attack 2 provinces in 1 turn.

Tanks

Cost: 8IC
Attack: 10
Defense: 10

Best Land force in the game. Good for both defense and attack. They can attack 2 provinces in 1 turn.

Laser Cannon

Cost: 10IC
Attack: 4
Defense: 16

Best defensive unit.

Hovercraft

Cost: 8IC
Attack: 7
Defense: 1

Good unit for attack. Terrible for defense.

Navy

Cost: 4IC
Attack: 5
Defense: 5

Because of radioactive water, the navy is weak.

Plane

Cost: 12IC
Attack: 14
Defense: 10

Best Unit in the game. It is also the most expensive. They can attack 2 provinces in 1 turn.

Nukes

Cost: 50IC
Only Humans can build Nukes

Nukes are very expensive but powerful weapons. In order to use them, you have to target a Province. The targeted province and 2 surrounding provinces will be destroyed and become netural. You can not attack and take over Nuked provinces for 3 turns. The Nuked provinces will be marked with white colour.

Laser Shield

Cost: 40IC
Only Droids can build Laser Shields

Gives you 30% Chance of defending 3 Provinces of a Nuke. If a Droid has a shield, I will RNG from 1 to 100. If it is from 1 to 30, the Nuke is destroyed. If it is from 30 to 100, the Nuke destroy the Provinces. In order to use a Shield you must chose 3 Provinces. Those 3 provinces must border each other.

Jedi Monk

Cost: Complete 3 Jedi Missions
Can be used only against Droids. You can not use it against Humans (both PC's and NPC's).

Attack: 60
Defense: 60

Anakin Skywalker

Attack: 100
Defense: 100
Cannot be build. He can only attack a territory every three turns.

War System:

When you declare war, you must fight battles. There are three factors that you need to take care in battles: Numbers, Attack-Defense and Luck (RNG) Example:

China France
Numbers: 6 Squads 3 Tanks
Attack-Defense: 24 30
Luck (RNG): 4 9

China: 34
France: 42

France wins!

Expansion

To expand, you must attack a territory. The defenses of a territory are ranged from 2 squads to 10 squads (RNG).

Economy

Each Province gives you 2 IC. Each factory in a province gives you an extra of 1 IC. Factories cost 2 IC each. Farms cost 5 IC and each Farm gives you an extra income of 4 IC.

Jedi Order:

The role of the Jedi Order is to give Missions to the Humans. If you complete a mission, you take from 20 to 80 IC as reward. If you complete 3 missions, you take a Jedi Monk. Missions are ''conquer X province from droid A''. The one who completes the mission takes the award. If two or more Nations invade a province to complete a mission, I RNG from 1 to 10 and the one who has the higher number wins.

NPC's

NPC's are Droids. The Droids revolted against the humans and caused the Great War. They are always at war with PC's.

PC nations that are in-active for more than 2 turns become NPC's and will follow their own agenda and try to win the game.

Roleplaying

RP is a large part of gameplay. RP is rewarded. I may even give 1IC as reward.

Diplomacy

NAP: No attack between two nations for an amount of turns. (You must say to me how many turns this deal will last.)

OB: Open Borders between two nations. (You must say to me how many turns this deal will last.)

Last Rule

Have fun!

From the Yoke of Fascism: Birth of the English Dominion.

Written by veteran historian and political exile Benet Kingly.

Even before the drones’ England was seeing a rise in authoritarian extremism from several groups. For a century and many decades they were in the realms of not gaining any power but a increasing discontent to globalisation and increased isolation after the independence of Scotland, Wales, Cornwell and the Isle of Wight, with Northern Ireland rejoining Ireland... all lead to the rise of the United English Alliance. This organisation gained greater support, to the point the last election before the day of the drones’ revolt saw them reach third place, kept out of office thanks to the Conservative and Labour coalition leaded by Tory Prime Minister Ahmed Tailor that was set in hope of liberty.

Then came the drones.

The drones destroyed English civilization and Parliament.

They destroyed English democracy.

They destroyed all that could oppose the rise of whats to be more evil.

The leader of the UEA, David Normand, managed to gain himself and his supporters a smooth bunker that was funded by Cyrus Green of McDuke Industries, a keen donor of the UEA. When chaos settled the UEA came out to set up their own English state in their own fascist image. David though was assassinated shortly after coming out and so the English Dominion, named in pretext of the imperial fascist desires of the ultra-authoritarian power, is now leaded by Thomas Seaman.

The despot Thomas Seaman rein though may be short: David Normand’s lone child, Rebecca, is seeking to claim the title of dictator of the English. Seaman also faces rivals in the form of McDuke Industries’ increase influence and from the shady Stalinist party secretary Greg Johnson.

I fear the drones’ rule may be more desire then the idea of this fascist power dominating the world. They now prepare to launch their desire to make Britian one with the English on top, their aims then to revisit the ideals of the British Empire... only with the structure of a Nazi power.

May mercy come to us all!

Kingdom of Sioux Falls

It has been twelve years since the Nuclear Twilight marked the "end" of the first phase of the Drone Uprising. The Great Plains, part of the agriculture heartland of the United States, was largely spared the nuclear devastation, but suffered greatly from the years of climate shift. With the summers mild and winters harsh, crop output diminish. Despite this, some organization existed within the region. Within five years of the Nuclear Twilight, the first war between post-war city-states in the Great Plains region began.

One city-state, the Kingdom of Sioux Falls, rose in military, economic, and political prominence thanks in part to shrewd leadership in the early years. Sioux Falls continued to expand, annexing other city-states through war or economic pressure. Wind power helped, as Sioux Falls guarded their prowess in building wind turbines. Wind power helped fueled industries related to grain, lumber, and armaments. Within the last few years, Sioux Falls has managed to establish dominance across the entirety of the Great Plains, and plans are on the board to resume mining and drilling operations in the region.

It isn't rare to see farmers using horse-driven plows guarding their farmsteads with assault rifles and other small arms. These individual farmsteads, over time, have contracted and came closer together as means of transportation declined. The compression of the population, combined with the increased security, formed entirely new cities within a decade of the Twilight.

Government

All of this was commanded by an elite group of leadership which included local farmers, university professors, politicians, doctors, and more. The head of the twenty person group is called the Chairperson. The Chairperson decides which matters can be brought to vote (although any measure can be brought to vote if ten members bring it up), represents Sioux Falls as the head diplomat and head of state, and is commander-in-chief of the military.

Positions in the Large Council are for life or until retirement. When positions need to be filled, a vote is performed among the Council to decide who can have that person's position in the Council.

The territory of Sioux Falls is divided into 19 Political Administrations. Thus, each person besides the Chairperson represents one Administration, with its own council. The Large Council meets only four times a year or during emergencies, while the Small Councils are operating far more often. When the Chairperson (also a for-life or until-retirement position) dies or retires, a vote is held to replace the Chairperson with one of the 19 people left in the Large Council. Once someone is elevated to Chairperson, another vote is held to replace the Political Administrator.

Sub-Government

Each Political Administrator, member of the Large Council besides the Chairperson, has a Small Council. This Council consists of the PA and nine directors ranging from Defense (in-charge of making sure the Political Administration can raise the levy requirement when required, training, and planning) to the Civil Director (whose job involves public works and health). When their PA dies, and the Large Council holds a vote, it is from the Political Administrator's Small Council that a replacement is selected from. Director positions are also lifetime jobs.

Each Director has a Director Council of four people each (5 counting the Director). The job of connected to these positions can vary based on the the demand of the individual Director. However, when a Director dies or retires, the Small Council selects a replacement. Likewise, when a "Sub-Director" dies, a vote of the Director Council selects a new person.

Sub-Directors could also have their own advisory/council groups, but these are nor formalized.
