Just a bit of personal preference: I think the swordsman, knight and longswordsman look much better than the v_ versions.
 
Is there some way I could download just the swordsman version 2 to use as an axeman in mod I'm making?

If I understand your question, I think you're confused. This isn't a mod; it's a modders' resource [thanks to danrell and those that created the units he adapted]. You can pick and choose whatever models you want to use.
 
All uploaded content is free to use, just give credits to Danrell in your mod.
