In an effort to take screen shots quicker I've somehow totally messed up C2C.

Previously, I've always played in Full Screen Mode (on a WinXP machine). I also have CivIV BTS resize my screen from 1024x768 to 1280x1024. I never had a problem with this before.

I switched to window mode and got weirdness where I could roll the map by moving the curser, and other size/screen oddities. I tried to reset to full screen and restarted the game. When I loaded my save game the camera was way too zoomed in (see attached). Zooming out didn't help either. I then restarted the mod and attempted to start a new game and got what I believe is the black terrain/tile situation where I couldn't see anything.

I started vanilla BTS and that was normal (including the game resizing).

I then:
1) Cold booted my computer.
2) Deleted all the files under the cache folder (i.e. Documents and Settings\Username\Local Settings\Application data\My Games\Beyond the Sword\Cache).
3) Deleted the C2C profile file.
4) Restarted Caveman2 Cosmos via 'Load a Mod' from vanilla BTS.
5) Recreated C2C profile.
6) Started a new game and got... Black Tiles.
7) I then tried the saved game and got the superzoom again.

Does anyone know what to do? I can delete the Caveman2Cosmos folder and reinstall it... but are there are other files or folders that need to go?

I've read through the Black Tiles thread but am at a loss as to the detailed suggestions. How do I 'repair .net' or do any of the other detailed instructions?

Thanking anyone that can help in advance.

Sorry, sorry. False Alarm. But maybe with some useful info.

Somewhere along the line of the weirdness I experienced when trying to go to window mode, the Field of View got wonked to 6, thus explaining the extreme close up.

However, I also managed to get rid of the new game black terrain feature! *In experimenting with trying to fix the problem I ran into all my new C2C starts having complete black terrain. I solved this by turning viewports off. Terrain suddenly appeared. Turned viewports back on and reloaded the initial autosave and was good to go.
