What has happened to puppet cities?

They seem to have disappeared with the last patch -- I can't see it in the patch notes. Help!

After patch, AI civs now can annex puppet cities. Be ready to deal with massive empires.

No mods and I'm running dx11. Still able to puppet, but did have a bit of a glitch. On about my 10th puppet the initial screen I got was the city view screen, with raze grayed out. Got out of city view mode and there was no puppet icon on the newly captured city. Thought hit the bug as the screen then moved to a worker. Once I gave him orders the screen then popped up giving me the puppet option.

So haven't seen the same behavior, but have seen issues with puppeting.

For those having the issue is it happening every time ? If one of you wants to upload a save the turn before capturing a city, I'll give it a go. Also, an mods ?

Have ya'll verified the game cache on steam to ensure you actually got all the patch files?

No mods here. Playing with 1.0.2.13 .

Also, some of my workers have developed amnesia -- they need to be reminded EVERY turn what they were working on.

I took a city and was able to annex, puppet or raze as usual. Don`t know what you guys are doing wrong. In my case I chose to raze.

That may just be because an enemy is visible. Workers will stop working to try and self preserve when an opponent unit is within sight.

Just won UN with most of Egypt puppeted. Pretty sure they are working.

But now this thread has reminded me to check out the massive Danish empire to see how many cities they unpuppeted.

I saw the chain icon over one of their cities in the fog. It must have been one of the unpuppeted cities waiting for a courthouse to be built.

Even Before the patch I managed to encounter a bug in which I've never been given the choice to either Raze or Puppet a city, thus automatically annexing it, not sure what caused it, but I'm sure it's old enough.

I have no bug with this so far. Can annex, puppet or raze as usual.

There is a bug right now where the choice is sometimes not provided. The solution, which is awkward, is the save the game before capturing a city. If it happens, exit the game COMPLETELY, then reload the save and it should provide you the choice. It's rather irritating.

Once the bug presents itself, no cities will be puppetable until you fully restart the game. I haven't been able to figure out specifically what causes it.

This bug is an old one. It was a rare happening, but I got it every now and then long before the fall patch. Of course it might be more frequent now?
