For the Space Race IOT. Due to me being at my limit for SGs and wanting to keep the groups I have, this separate thread is being used for UN discussions, unless enough discussion seriously merits a different approach.

The UN is entirely organic and it is up to the players exactly what it is for.

UN Constitution

I can into groups, but I think a thread would be better. I miss every game having two threads.

Ahoy, USSR reporting :3

My first concern is that "all our new armies are incinerated"

:[

R.U.A.C has joined the UN. Although we are a corporation we own enough of our world's land to be considered a major nation. That is why we are helping found the Union of Nations, as we believe that cooperation will help us all get into space faster and we still respect the intelltual property of the United Nations.

It will at least be interesting to see what players decide the UN's authority extends to. No constitution or anything yet. :p

Macedonia has just joined the UN.

I assume we'll start working on it once signups close. Is that right?

The SUDS are eager to ensure the UN is a body that will uphold the will of liberty, justice and fine wine. Hence we offer the suggestion that we form the International Courts of Universal Justice (ICUJ) to ensure that leaders answer to the will of the international law. The SUDS will naturally set itself to enforce the law via peace enforcement if need be.

Sounds bile-rific!

Can we go one game without forming a tightass bureaucratic extranational organization that doesn't actually do anything? If someone doesn't cooperate, you blow them up, you don't sanction them. Who cares if they have child slavery as long as they aren't trying to eat Azerbaijan?

The SUDS will require nations to not perform child slavery, and any form of slavery while we at it, or face the wroth of the revolution.

Hahahahaha. Those Socialists are funny. International Courts of Universal Justice?! hahahahahaha. Those Socialists are really funny!!

The Macedonian Representive clearly knows not what humour is, especilly when it comes to thinking a person is joking when they are not.

Tibet shall join this institution, it shall send as its representative Xiang Jintian, an able representative despite his origins amongst the han chinese aristocracy of yesteryear.

It was just an incredibly extreme example. Also you proved my point.

A Constitution or basic framework could be worked on now if you all like.

When in doubt, remember how ugly the American convention was.

"Laws are like sausages, it is best to not see them being made." -Otto von Bismarck

Really, anything that gets a majority vote passes so far so... you guys work out the details. :p

For the UN represenative the SUDS sends Rebecca Gardinier to speak on behalf of the great force of the revolution!

The Macedonian Representive is Philip Papapetros.

R.U.A.C will send John Albertross, a share holder in R.U.A.C, as our UN representative. However, Richard Richardson will try his upmost to attend as many UN events as possible.
