NDNESVI: Myths, Legends, and Gods
Welcome Onlookers and potential participants in this NES! As some of you older members of the community may know, I've run a handful of NESes related to Gods and whatnot. This NES will be of a similar vein, although players will not be restricted to just godhood (Past a certain point at least). This NES will progress in stages:

Stage I: Players can only take the role of Gods or Goddesses. The world is new and needs to be shaped. This will be a stage in the game that requires some creativity, or perhaps I should say it rewards creativity heavily. Interesting terrain, entertaining backstories, and unique concepts behind characters are all appreciated. During this stage players will shape the world into what it will resemble for the rest of the NES and create a good chunk of the lore. Large chunks of time will be covered here, so try not to get into super complex schemes. Just make a nemesis here and there, write stories, and give us a good world to work with. (Approx. 3 updates in length)

Stage II: People may play as Gods, legendary heroes, creatures, adventurers, or rulers. Lots of scheming, epic battles, and probably anything else you'd want. Story telling will be a huge factor in this. Updates will be seasonal. While there is no set amount of updates we'll be shooting for, there will be times where I'll ask the players if they'd like to do a BT and advance to Stage III.

Stage III: No one gets to be a God. Players may play as individuals, groups, or perhaps even as creatures in some cases. Players are encouraged to take the role as rulers, as Stage III will be focused on the actions of leaders and the interactions between states.

Rules

Different stages and player-types necessitate different rules depending on the player.

Stage I Rules

God Name/Player Name
Efforts Points: Major/Minor
Description:

Names - Self explanatory.

Effort Points - A God has two different points to spend, Major and Minor. Major points can be spent on massive alterations in the landscape, the creation of some impressive creature/race/construct, or some other act that has a significant "Wow" factor to it. Minor points are spent on things like miracles (extremely unusual weather, transmutation, the animation of something previously unliving), the altering of a race (taking humans, making some into Dwarves), or bestowing magical powers on someone or something.

Points can be obtained by extending your influence, earning large numbers of followers, being interesting (:p), and writing good stories.

Description - I will describe your God, and perhaps update the description with recent events and interactions if I deem it necessary.

Rules for Stages II and III will be revealed when needed.

So what I need from you guys for the first update:

1. Your God's name
2. A description of your god. Perhaps its personality, appearance (if any)
3. I'm giving each god 1 Major and 2 Minor points to spend.

Give me these three details and we're all good to go for the first update. Since the world doesn't quite exist yet, just give a general idea of what changes you want to make on this dull, flat sea of chaotic nothingness.

Example:

Dodonon/NinjaDude

The God of the Skies and all that dwell within. Possessing a great thirst for knowledge, this newborn God has ascended to a lofty realm high in the clouds. From there he surveys all that goes on below, flocks of birds serving as his eyes and ears all across creation.

Spending:
-1 Major Point on the creation of Mount Dodonon, a massive mountain whose top reaches the clouds. It shall be rocky and barren, preventing anything from living upon its alabaster walls.
-1 Minor point taking some humans and slapping wings on them. They shall be my messengers and missionaries, spreading the wisdom and word of Dodonon.
-1 Minor point summoning a flock of birds to serve as my spies and informants in the world below.

Other things of note:
-Humans will be appearing alongside you guys. None of you need to put any effort into creating them. This means you're free to toy with them as much as you want from the get go.

-Initially there really is no magic. That's up to you guys to give to the world if you so chose. Beware, some of your actions may have unforeseen consequences...

-You Gods are literally appearing out of nowhere in this sea of nothingness. Avoid making back stories referring to parental deities who are not present in the game or such things. However, if Player X wants to be the son of Player Y and they both agree upon it, then more power to them. I want rich story telling, just so long as the stories don't conflict.

-First update should last about 100 years. So don't get too crazy.

You may now post!

Feel free to ask questions, I'd be glad to help. This is somewhat sudden, but those who have played in my past NESes should be somewhat familiar with this style of NES.

I can never resist one of these. I'll have a god up soon.

Name: Alpha
Bio: The God of wisdom, obsessed with learning and battlefield strategy. He often can be found testing mortals with riddles or brain teasers.
Spending:
-Major: Build a great library in the center of the world filled with knowledge and learning.
-Minor:
1) Create a book that contains the True Names of all the beings and objects in the world and put it in the middle of the library
2) Make a race of beings known as purists to guard the book and library. They are beings robed in white and their faces covered. They have the strength of three men and are quite tall. Have them have the ability to drive people insane by asking unanswerable questions.

Hyron

Hyron is a God seeking only his entertainment. He enjoys watching heroes and villains, the joy and the suffering, the rise, and especially the fall, of humans and Gods. None know his true form, as he is a shapeshifter, always growing bored with one form after a while, but generally looks human. He is known to give away gifts of power to individuals that he deems interesting or to those who can entertain him. He naturally assumes all should bow to him, and is quite annoyed when Gods and Humans do not show him due deference

One Major point into finding interesting people and giving them powers
One minor point into creating weapons fit for Heroes
One minor point into creating treasures for heroes to fight for

Name: Etallis
Bio: Etallis is the Earth God. Aside from the obvious, his domain includes farming, metal, earthquakes, and volcanoes. Etallis has always been a morally neutral god, and if a war were to break out among the gods, then he would side based on grudges or likelihood to win. He rules from a great underground castle at the bottom of the earth, directing under Mount Hengovar. However, he comes to the surface a lot, because he finds mortals and their antics hilarious. He'll help someone if he thinks they deserve it.
Spending:
-Major: Etallis was bored one day, and decided to see what would happen if he game a human some of the booze he got from Akdov. He found they quickly adapted to the underground, becoming shorter. They learned how to mine better, and created some of the best booze in the land. He decided to call them Shortdrunks.
-Minor:
1: Etallis created the first metals, after ragequitting once again in Godcraft and angrily smashing parts of the Earth with extreme pressure.
2: After a long night of drinking and partying with his imaginary friends, Etallis vomited into the Earth. His vomit became lava, and sprouted upward to become the first volcano, Mount Hengovar.

Spending:
-Major: Etallis decided to take the matter of "There is no land yet" into his own hands, creating a large ball of rock in the cosmic nothingness. He shaped it around a bit, creating hills and valleys, plains and mountains, and so on. After a while, he was satisfied with his creation and left to play on his Godbox Infinity.

I understand what you're going for here, but a lot of it doesn't work :p Your Major action is pretty much uneeded. Think of the chaos that the world is in as a blank, yet ever shifting slate that prevents anything from living or forming in it. However, each god can build upon it and shape it into a more tangible form. You don't need to make the whole world for everyone, that's everyone's job in the first place.

Your second Minor action is a bit large scale too. With one Minor point you could probably make a few relatively small volcanoes, but nothing amazing or world-spanning.

And for everyone involved in this, it can be assumed that most regular animals exist in some form in this NES without your involvement. You won't need to tediously make bears, birds, octopi, fish, and so on.

I wasn't creating the entire world in my major action, I was simply creating the ball of rock that is the base for the world. I didn't add seas, life, or anything else but rock.

As for the second minor, I'll fix it.

nuke I believe I've done a god like that before, except mine lived in a trap filled castle surrounded by a thick forest.

What I meant was, you don't even have to do that. The world is a big flat plane on which you do whatever it is you want. So in a way you could think of it as minecraft ;)

Something I could see your god doing is using his Major for perhaps creating a massive mountain range, or a huge canyon with a river of lava. Stuff like that is what a Major is for.

Akdov
God of Alcohol, Drunks, and Hangovers
Appears as a drunk behaving amazingly well with a barrel of booze on his back.

Major 1-There are water springs and stuff around the world. Make a bunch of them spring booze instead of water- maybe have a booze river yeah. And have booze plants grow there instead of normal plants. Yup.
Minor 1- Make a cup of neverending booze of whatever the drinker desires. The drinker must have tasted or had it described to him for it to be successful. Has to be alcoholic. Make several if possible, and give it out to decent bartenders.
Minor 2- Sends a massive keg of booze to Etallis. More specifically, this inspires many of our metal workers to do their best work buzzed... or significantly more than buzzed. If not possible, send a hammer who makes his owner awesome at using it only while drunk.

@Ninja
Fixed my orders.

@Akdov:
Thanks for the amazing booze. Next time I go to Earth, I'll give some of it to the Premen and see what happens.

Humans will be appearing alongside you guys. None of you need to put any effort into creating them. This means you're free to toy with them as much as you want from the get go.

Maybe make dwarves... or even better, metal working elves!

*sigh* Orders edited hopefully for the final time. I was planning to make dwarves next turn.

And also, Etallis already has a base, directly under Mound Hengovar.

God Name/Player Name : Predatim, Goddess of Darkness, the Moon and Night
Bio: It is said, Predatim, the Night Witch, the goddess of the moon, is a strikingly beautiful spirit, occasionally taking the form of a lady, once every month, on the day of full moon. It is strictly forbidden for ladies to see the Night Witch, on the day of the full moon. Any female who sees Predatim, becomes a priestess of Predatim.

The introduction ritual is pretty gruesome though, since the priestess has to sacrifice the life of her most beloved ones, at the alter of Aodolin, the great crystal temple.

Efforts Points: Major/Minor

Major I : The forests of Rionus, an area of never ending night. The trees are dense and thick,

Minor I: Creation of Aodolin, a great crystal shard, which seems to shimmer at all times, because of the brightness of the moon. The Aodolin is a source of all magic that her priests wield. Predatim has sacrificed her own life at the alter of the Aodolin, to create the greatest magical feat of all times, the Starfall.
Spoiler :
O2kE6.jpg

Minor II: The population of Rionus were cursed by the power of the moon. They permanently have a bluish tone to their skin tone. The Nightwitch, though gave them an unique advantage : a extended vision at night
