Procedure:
1. Anyone who played in at least one mafia or NOTW game this year is eligible for participation in the 2012 Mafia Awards.
2. You have until January 1st, 2013 to nominate candidates for all of the awards, with the exception that the nomination phase will close before this deadline if 48 hours pass with no new nominations.
You may not nominate yourself, a mafia team you were a part of, or a game you hosted.
3. Each award will then be listed, and each will be accompanied by a description of the award and a list of nominated players/games.
4. After the nominees are set, there will be a lengthy period open for voting on all awards.
5. Voting procedure for Player Awards:
- To vote, PM me a value between 1 and 10, with 1 being abysmal, 5 being average, and 10 being perfect.
- Whichever player receives the highest score wins the award. (Keep in mind that score =/= arithmetic mean, in this case. Median, mean, and standard deviation are all factored in to the calculation. The score will then be normalized on a 1 - 10 scale, and the finalists ranked in the appropriate order.)
- You cannot vote for yourself.
6. Voting procedure for Game Awards:
- You are allowed to vote for as many nominated games as you want, as long as you played in them.
- You cannot vote for games you hosted.
- To vote, PM me a value between 1 and 10, with 1 being abysmal, 5 being average, and 10 being perfect.
- Whichever game receives the highest score wins the award. (Keep in mind that score =/= arithmetic mean, in this case. Median, mean, and standard deviation are all factored in to the calculation. The score will then be normalized on a 1 - 10 scale, and the finalists ranked in the appropriate order.)
7. Voting procedure for Team Awards:
- You are allowed to vote for as many nominated teams as you want.
- You cannot vote for a non-town team you were a part of, but you can vote for an innocent team you were a part of.
- To vote, PM me a value between 1 and 10, with 1 being abysmal, 5 being average, and 10 being perfect.
