The 88 mm gun (eighty-eight) was a German anti-aircraft and anti-tank artillery gun from World War II. It was widely used by Germany throughout the war, and was one of the most recognized German weapons of the war. Development of the original models led to a wide variety of guns.

Three textures are included - to change the texture to the one you want simply rename it 'Flak88.dds' and place it in the Flak88 folder.

awesome....that is a great looking gun!!!

Glad you guys like it! Now's the worst part for me when making units, I never know what to make next. I'm thinking of some WW1 or modern units, since those are not well represented. Still struggling though, if anyone has something they're just dying to have, let me know.

Anybody has not created helicopter models yet :mischief:

What about a bunker which is pretty generic for any modern battlefield. I would love one to represent static and hedgehog units in my mod if possible?

Sorry guys, I would love to make all of those units, but there's no templates out for any of them. I'd LOVE to be able to make some cavalry and helicopter units, since I need those a lot for my mod, but there are no templates out there yet. I've tried to make my own a couple weeks ago and failed, I'm not done trying though. If there's a template for it, I can make the unit.

Can you do that step via blender or would that cause issues?

The problem is all the effects, animations & sounds I'm used to rigging for Civ4 units is done in 3ds Max, not blender. I'm very new at blender and have just barely figured out how to use it with the templates. Until I get better with blender it's just templates for me.

Very nice. Coming back in time a bit. How is it going with the WWI arty?

Is there any template out there for machine gunners? We have WWI infantry now creating GW MGs would be a great second step. I know the answer to the arty question above BTW. I hope there is a template for that soon.

Can I use this to replace the normal AA gun for Germany?

Awsome work!!! :)
I really like the model and texture.
This are all new models you did. So I'm courious it's possible to use od models from civIV? (I lost all the source files (after formatting disk :() but I think I could import .nif files back to blender). I would like to do some new, but also import couple of one wich I like the most. Do you have tutorials how to start modelling for civ V?

Thanks! I don't have civ4 installed anymore, but I suppose it would be possible to animate them for it. For adding models to civ5, I used the different tutorials posted here with a lot of trail and error. Email or PM me any specific questions.
