Now that there are talks about a second expansion, I thought it would be fun to have a poll about wonders too.
As there are so many wonder possibilities (just check Pouakai's thread), and a poll has maximum 25 slots, I can't include as many options as I would like

I tried to list the ones which already have connection to the civilization franchise. Alright, mostly for Civ IV ;) (didn't really like the Civ III approach).
Also, all the remainig finalists from the New7Wonders of the World
Only 5 remains, GK already has all the other ones from the 21 finalists.
Finally, a couple of the most popular/important/well known wonders.

Flavian Amphitheatre - Colosseum in Rome, one of the New7Wonders
Sankore Madrasah - University of Sankore, finalist of the New7Wonders, wonder in Civ IV
Parthenon - Akropolis of Athens, finalist of the New7Wonders
Moai Statues - Statues of the Eastern Island, finalist of the New7Wonders, wonder in Civ IV
Kiyomizu-dera - Kiyomizu Temple in Kyoto, finalist of the New7Wonders

Shwedagon Paya - wonder in Civ IV
Versailles - wonder in Civ IV
Florence Cathedral - Background for Beyond the Sword, appears in the GK intro
Mount Rushmore - wonder in Civ IV (altough a national wonder there, in most mods a civ specific replacement for the generic National Monument)
Malwiya Minaret - Spiral Minaret, wonder in Civ IV
The Sphinx - appears in the Civ V intro

St. Peter's Basilica - Appears in the Into the Renaissance GK scenario, so we already have a Civ V icon for it, also it's more or less Civ IV's Apostolic Palace wonder
Large Hadron Collider - These 3 already showed up in vanilla Civ V's files, icon
Three Gorges Dam - These 3 already showed up in vanilla Civ V's files, icon and splashscreen
Panama Canal - These 3 already showed up in vanilla Civ V's files, icon and splashscreen

Ishtar Gate
Borobudur
Potala Palace
Pantheon
Templo Mayor
Dome of the Rock
Temple of Heaven
Topkapi Palace
Empire State Building

PS: I didn't include a couple wonders from Civ IV, for example Broadway, Hollywood, Rock and Roll, or the Space Elevator.
From Civ III: SETI Program, Leonardo's Workshop, Theory of Evolution, Sun Tzu's Art of War, Copernicus' Observatory, Shakespeare's Theatre, Magellan's Voyage, Smith's Trading Co., Bach's Cathedral, Newton's University, Longevity, Cure for Cancer, Universal Suffrage.
These are not real wonders IMO. Maybe some of them could works as projects or national wonders, but definitely not as world wonders.

PS2: Also, didn't include any of the modern skyscraper wonders
I know some of those are popular, but there are too many of them so I couldn't choose one
Not to mention they are too recent for being called as a world wonder, at least for my taste

PS3: Btw, most of these wonders already exists for Civ V in one of these 2 threads:

Oh, if you vote other, it would be great if you could post what other wonder(s) would you choose

Empire state building is already in Gods and kings but my vote go's for st.peters basilica

What? No it's not...
Also, this is a multiple choice poll, you could have voted for more wonders as well (if you wanted to)
We have 8 voters and more than 50 votes ;)

I think cure for cancer should be a project that massively boosts pop growth. It could be unlocked at plastics. I would like to see Hollywood as a national wonder. Mt Rushmore definitely, Empire State sure. Can be convinced that Hadron Collider is a good idea if a suitable bonus is found--one that doesn't come too late in the game, that is. (How about it unlocking ss engine and ss stasis chamber? That would make science victory a bit more challenging. But of course then it would have to be a project or a national wonder.) All the others devalue the wonder category in my view.

But I have one more suggestion: Silicon Valley. Could be the national wonder that follows research labs. It would increase the gold output of all cities; thereby favoring larger empires.

Whoops I must have been thinking of the cn tower.

I'm kind of surprised that many of these wonders weren't in the actual game. I mean the Pantheon! It's like one of the icons for wonders of the classical era!

This is the temple of the sun in Teotihuacan. It was a pilgrimage site of huge significance in classic mesoamerica and the aztecs based their culture and religion on that developed and centred here.
This is probably one of the most significant religious sites in central american history, and i would argue has a much greater place as a world wonder than the templo mayor which in comparison is an epeen boost to match the burj khalifa in dubai. Yes it's big, yes it's pretty, but that isn't all that makes a wonder in my book.

I agree with True_Candyman. In fact, I think its a minor miracle that the Temple of the Sun isn't included already.

I wanted an aztec/maya wonder on the list, and thought Templo Mayor is the most popular one
But you are probably right, and the temple complexes of Teotihuacan would have been a better choice...

I think there should be a new kind of wonder - a religious wonder, with some religion specified cap, like maybe you only build one per religion, or certain beliefs unlock certain ones etc. Mostly cos there are loads and loads of amazing religious wonders that don't get a look in, I think they cancel each other out.

For a start temple of Solomon (I know there was temple on the rock but it's kinda different).

Yeah, Gobekli Tepe is another nice wonder which couldn't make it to the list in lack of slots

Voted for; Borobudur, Ishtar Gate, Large Hadron Collider, Malwiya Minaret (Spiral Minaret), Panama Canal, Pantheon, Parthenon, Shwedagon Paya (Shwedagon Pagoda), Sphinx, St. Peter's Basilica, Three Gorges Dam and Versailles.

I really would like to see Sphinx, Ishtar Gate and Parthenon being added. I think those are essential wonders. Especially the Sphinx - it has been almost in every Civ and expansion cover art but never in the game. Truly a riddle of the Sphinx!

Also the three already in the vanilla CiV files should be added.

I can agree with almost all these choices, I would love to see most of them in Civ V
Actually, there are only a couple others I could imagine as being included (being both important and popular enough, while also unique enough to have good bonuses for gameplay)
For example the temple complexes of Teotihuacan

All of these are deserving, and quite a bit more. I personally dislike the Templo Mayor just because it has a Spanish name, and not an Aztec one. (I dislike La Venta as a name for the Olmec City State in G&K similarly). Same's true for Gobekli Tepe.

For the choice of inclusion however, I prefer if they go by gameplay. And that shows we can't really use anymore Ancient, Classical or Medieval Wonders. These eras are stuffed already. So I would prefer more modern wonders, and they don't all need to be Skyscrapers either ;) Options would include: Crystal Palace (in London), Brooklyn/Golden Gate/Akashi Kaikyo Brigde, Channel Tunnel, Gotthard Rail Tunnel, Trans-Siberian Railway, Maracana/Wembley Stadium/Beijing Bird Nest, Itaipu Dam, Bell Labs, World Seed Bank, the London Sewers or Metro. Or even a few fantastical ones like a Space Elevator (which is in civ 4).
